Beautiful and cozy place (with lots of natural light), wonderful coffee (I had the seasonal rose latte - please keep it longer on the menu!) and tasty food! Julia was very knowledgeable and helped us pick the best drinks and food options (they have some of Dos Hermanos delicious pastries). Will definitely be back!

I've been coming to Great North for years and appreciate the quality of their drinks and the fact the space is so perfect for working out of (i.e., free wifi!). They make delicious hojicha lattes with their in-house made oat milk and have such great vegetarian and vegan food options. To top it all off, the people working there are always so lovely and pleasant, just adding to the already great atmosphere. Very happy to have a nice lil coffee shop like this in St. Johns :)

This was a wonderful first experience with The Great North. We purchased 2 cups of coffee in store along with a bag of beans. Drank those cups in the car and they were so delicious that I ran back into the store to purchase a bag of that specific roast. 5⭐️all the way! Cleanliness was very good inside the coffeehouse, the staff were very friendly and more than willing to help us select whole beans that we would be most likely to enjoy at home.
We are excited to recommend this business to our friends!

Great tasting coffee. Servers were efficient and friendly. A nice quiet atmosphere. Pretty small space so I imagine it could fill up pretty quick if you’re thinking about hanging out there. Otherwise, very nice and I’ll definitely return when I’m in the area.
Parking: Pretty limited parking in the street. Could be an issue in the morning hours. I was there in a Saturday afternoon and got lucky grabbing a spot someone had just vacated. Worth a short walk for the coffee!

They have a peppermint mocha special now for $6.50. It's advertised on their sign to come with mini Marshmallows and peppermint pieces. Somehow, I received mine with neither. $6.50 for a "festive" drink devoid of all festivities. Go somewhere else, or be incredibly specific about what you want.

Great all-around coffee shop.
Their drip and mochas are on point. Breakfast sandwiches are top tier! Handmade, and not simply a reheated prepackaged deal. I love the pesto sauce and the sourdough bread, it's harmony.
Beautiful lovely ladies working and artfully producing orders and a nice atmosphere. It does feel a bit cramped to wait for your coffee, though, most of the time.
Come here every time I'm in town from Michigan and love it!

Unfortunately I waited 20 min for my coffee only to find out it had been sitting on the counter getting cold. It was busy and I was hearing everyone elses orders being called except mine. I got up to check and the cup that had been sitting out was mine. You'd think they would call it out if a cup had been sitting there for a while. The guy offered to remake it but I had been there long enough. I even tipped and bought their 20 dollar hojicha... Oops
