Tired of ordering hot latte’s that they only steam to 100 degrees. Used to love getting coffee here but now they won’t heat my “hot” latte all the way. This time I went straight home, after they made it fresh in front of me, and checked with my thermometer and it wasn’t even 110F. I expect my coffee to be like warm at the end of the drink not the beginning.

Loved this shop so much that I can't stop coming back! I just moved here from Alaska and the community here is awesome! My favorite is the vegan coffee cake and since I moved here my heart's desire has been to try everything vegan. It fits me and my lifestyle because vegans are cool and I'm vegan, too. You guys made my day I'm so happy we found each other! I love it here ❤️

Was blown away to see Houjicha on the menu alongside the matcha and instantly got it. Absolutely delicious. We realized after we ordered we had walked in 5 minutes before closing but the employee was so kind and polite and didn't mention it at all. Loved the vibes and the drinks, wish we lived closer so we could return more often!

Service was amazing! Very nice and welcoming. Bagel tasted like plastic and I had to saw through the crust of it with my teeth. Ate two bite only because I had to take another bite to confirm how bad it was. :( Coffee was mid.

Great local coffee shop. Their coffee is on the lighter side but well roasted. Lots of bake goods including gluten free options! Place is very nice for hanging out there or on their tables outside.

Beautiful and cozy place (with lots of natural light), wonderful coffee (I had the seasonal rose latte - please keep it longer on the menu!) and tasty food! Julia was very knowledgeable and helped us pick the best drinks and food options (they have some of Dos Hermanos delicious pastries). Will definitely be back!

I've been coming to Great North for years and appreciate the quality of their drinks and the fact the space is so perfect for working out of (i.e., free wifi!). They make delicious hojicha lattes with their in-house made oat milk and have such great vegetarian and vegan food options. To top it all off, the people working there are always so lovely and pleasant, just adding to the already great atmosphere. Very happy to have a nice lil coffee shop like this in St. Johns :)

This was a wonderful first experience with The Great North. We purchased 2 cups of coffee in store along with a bag of beans. Drank those cups in the car and they were so delicious that I ran back into the store to purchase a bag of that specific roast. 5⭐️all the way! Cleanliness was very good inside the coffeehouse, the staff were very friendly and more than willing to help us select whole beans that we would be most likely to enjoy at home.
We are excited to recommend this business to our friends!
