Rarely do I leave a perfect review… but this place totally deserves it. During my stay at The Benson I ate here numerous times… breakfast lunch and dinner. This place rocks! Super surprised and super satisfied.

Dinner on Sunday February 18, 2024. A room half full but an endless wait for the dishes. Our dishes are good despite 30 minutes of waiting to get them. But then we're going to wait 40 minutes for our dessert, we're going to call the waitress twice for a single dessert and finally we're going to cancel it after 50 minutes of waiting, 50 minutes for a PANCAKE.We have a suite in the hotel, we wanted to dine in the hotel, a mistake! We regret that the restaurant did not even apologize for this wait!Mr and Mrs MORGANT.

Both the appearance and taste of the food was terrible. This is visually the saddest charcuterie I have had at a hotel. Taste wise, the prosciutto texture was not right and the bread smelled bad. The deviled eggs tasted of dill and the plate was oily. The risotto was lacking flavor. We expected so much more from this restaurant.

We had a wonderful time here last night. My husband first job was right here. Our server John has worked here for 46 years and reveled in stories with my husband about the olden days here at the Benson Hotel. I'm always in awe of the majestic beauty of this building. I felt safe from the riff raff of the streets and welcomed. They really make you feel at home. I'll be honest and say, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I was served the worst kamikaze I've ever had. I even sent it back to be corrected, and it still tasted horrible. The other drink I tried was not made well either, unfortunately. They really need to step it up with their mixers or muddling skills. Overall, it was a great evening with lots of laughter.

The food is a solid 4/5 but if you have accessibility needs just go somewhere else. The door to the accessible entrance where locked and we just happened to be there when a maintenance person saw our group trying to get in.Wheelchair accessibility: Not truly accessible. The accessible entrance is kept locked. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else.

I had breakfast in the Palm Court. It was a straightforward American scramble. Food was good and service was as attentive and quick. The main draw for this place is definitely the space itself. The open Benson lobby space is unique and light filled during the breakfast hours. I will have to come back for a drink or dinner!

Exceptional service from their attentive staff. The Chicken Sauté is fantastic and went great with the local Pinot Gris. I had the chicken twice to make sure the first night wasn't a fluke. It was delicious each time. The quiet atmosphere is the perfect start to your day or end to your evening. This was a business trip, but I look forward to visiting again with family in the near future. Be sure to say hi to John who has worked at The Benson for 43 years, and is a wonderful human.

My granddaughter and I were treated like queens and family members every time we stepped into the Palm Court. Try the eggs Benny!
