Great place for a beer and some food. Unfortunately it's closed for good. I'll miss this place.

This is a portland institution that has seen better days. We had a reservation for 6:30 but were told they were booked and we would have to wait. Then another couple came in, said the same thing to a different hostess and got seated right away. I spoke up and she just looked confused. We waited 20 minutes more for a table. The hostesses seemed very disorganized along with the servers. No one filled our glasses, we received no need, never could get a servers attention for refills even though there seemed to be a ton of staff running around. Our food was good but overpriced for the ambiance. The decor needs updated and the ceiling tiles are just dirty. We will not go back.

We have always had excellent sevice at this location. Always great staff but this night was a bit off. We were seated and had our orders taken for our drinks but didn't see our waitress for 20 minutes. Our food came and our steaks were overdone. We sent them back and 15 minutes later, they came back too rare. We ended up having the rest of our food boxed up, we were exhausted. One of the managers was kind enough to take our meals off our bill. We will definitely go back but it was a disappointment for my boyfriend's birthday.

We had such a wonderful waiter. Appreciated his care and he's been dedicated to that place for over 17 years. Works hard and helps keep M & C classic with great food. Good service and a great bar area to sit in. Summer there with the patio is lovely too! Will always go back.

The only black/african american couple - we were sat in a corner by ourselves - we were offered the “value menu” before we were given the actual menu - didnt even know they had a “value menu”. We both got the filet cooked medium - both our steaks were beyond well done - sent back and took an additional 30mins to get our steaks yet they left the plate with our side items. By the time we actually ate, everything was cold and the steaks were still overcooked. We were asked “is there anything else I can get you” about 15 times within the 10mins we were given to finally eat. Felt very rushed, isolated and uncared for as a paying customer. Very disappointing as I was a frequent at McCormicks in Seattle before it closed and they would have never treated anyone this way.

Overall the food was very good; there were a few croutons in the lobster bisque that tasted stale though; the flavors of the dinner were great overall, but it appeared that the sauces were not well distributed through the Chile Bass Oscar and the associated vegetables; some of the potato puree seemed bland and other parts were flavorful, and the same with the sea bass, as if they were labeled on at the last min instead of cooked in certain sauces; normally I wouldn't mind, but for a $205 dinner i would expect more. As always the raw oysters and bag of chocolate and fruit with custard were superlative;

The food was fabulous. A little over priced, but that's to be expected in a higher end establishment. The service was not as good. We had to ask for more bread, our water glasses were empty for awhile before we had to ask for water and refill of our soda.

We were early for our reservation so we stayed at the bar and got a glass of wine and then they took us to our table and then we waited for half an hour and nobody came to take our order and so I finally asked someone and she said oh I thought since you had wine you already have been waited on so no so then our food came and the potatoes were cold and my husband asked for no spinach but they brought him spinach so all in all for the money it wasn't really the best value

Ordered $50 Chilean Sea Bass w/crabmeat & it came out cold, literally cold! Then ordered $45 filet minion done medium. It came out lukewarm. Asked for béarnaise sauce...was told they only have A-1 sauce...‍. Question: is this a "burger joint"? Asked for water when I sat down...it never came. I saw other tables enjoying bread & butter...I was never offered bread/butter. I was never asked if I wanted dessert...I had to ask when they were about to bring my check. Twice they brought my food out to a different table....don't they have the tables numbered??? Conclusion: This place charges high prices...but can't deliver food or service commensurate with the prices. I used to be a waiter & am not overly demanding...but this place clearly doesn't train their wait/kitchen staff! I spent $150 for 1 person...wish I had gone to a pizza joint instead. How disappointing. The folks at the VA Hospital warned me about this place being sub-par...I should have listened to them. This is the first & last time I'll go to McCormick's & Schmick's at the Marina on Portland OR!

The seafood wasn't fresh. Beautifully plated, but lacked the right seasoning. Unfortunately, that final detail was missing - tasting before plating. Definitely not the best value for money for frozen seafood. The service was excellent. Sarah did a great job!

This McCormick's and Schmicks is not what M&S used to be. No brunch menu on a Sunday, and lunch menu was fine, but nothing to write home about. But for the location, not much to recommend it for brunch.

We enjoyed a great evening of ambience, drink, and dining. Ryan, our server did an excellent job. He was one of only a few employees who managed to arrive to work in spite of the severe winter weather and I believe, the only server for the entire room. His friendly demeanor and good work ethic was truly appreciated.

This is a belated review from a holiday dinner experience we had. I was delighted with a birthday celebration dinner that was amazing! We had the scallops and rockfish dinners that melted in our mouths! The service was so wonderful and friendly. We requested a seat with a view and were not disappointed. They also brought me a free dessert of creme brulee that was out of this world. I definitely recommend going here for a

Good food, good service. Great view of the river. Appreciated that our server asked if we were seeing the show at Keller Auditorium that night (we were) and made sure we made it on our way in time.
