Came for the trivia, stayed for the food! Didn’t realize my trivia spot was going to have such an amazing menu. My group all had a different version of the rice bowl and were not disappointed! The shed brings out each dish himself and is so kind. Highly recommend!

Our favorite spot. By far the best hamburgers in town. You will never go back to onion rings once you try the tempura kimchi. Great people, good drinking spot. Only negative is indoor acoustics - can get pretty loud.

Just checked this place out for the first time and am so mad that it took me so long. Outstanding cocktails and burgers. The place feels like old school Portland. Not weird for weirdness sake. It's not a dive, but not so fancy that it doesn't feel relaxing and casual. They have a nerdy/sci-fi theme, but mostly in the cocktail names. You definitely won't feel out of place if you're not into sci-fi or D&D.
The service was exceptional. Both bartenders were great about cocktail recommendations and were genuinely interested in making sure we liked the food and drinks, but not in a hovering awkward way.
This place checks so many boxes. Pricing was super reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The Shaku burger is ridiculously good.

If you’re looking for a low alcoholic drink, try their seltzers (specifically a milky melon, tastes just like a melon soda). Overall, a great place to get a drink, a bite to eat, and meetup with friends. Mark, Trent, and Matt are the best. :)

The drinks are phenomenal (try the “Going Merry,” it’s really great), the food is exceptional, and the vibes are flawless. Mark, Trent, and Matt are so kind and talented and we always have a great time talking to them. The Shaku Bar is truly a gem on NE Sandy and I tell all of my friends about it.
