Every dish was fantastic. I have been to Spain and can confidently claim this is the second best Spanish restaurant I have tried. Will definitely come back! The chef owns a few more restaurants in the city.
If the rumors are true they're closing, it'll be a sad day for foodies. Yeah John made a mistake but I hope that's not the reason they're closing. If it's more to do with COVID than that's understandable but sad nonetheless. For a year, my wife and I went on double dates with a couple friend of ours each month and we'd alternate who chose the restaurant. One would think that Monday nights in restaurants in Portland might be a bit quiet, but not so at Toro Bravo. Our 5:30 reservation was ready for us, and the house was packed! Normally we eat a bit later but could not get in except for this early time. But it was worth it for all 4 of us.
