A+ service and food. I love how they've developed such a creative spin on classic tapa style dishes. Nothing came out as expected but it was very delicious. They had great wine recommendations and a nice atmosphere.

Incredible food and friendly, helpful service.Lots of rich, flavorful dishes with ingredients you can't pronounce (but your waiter will happily explain in delicious detail!)Atmosphere is warm and casual but maybe just a little loud for more sensitive guests. My partner and I found it quite pleasant, but my hearing-aide wearing father would have struggled a bit to keep up with conversation.Dietary restrictions: Tell your waiter about any restrictions; they will talk to the kitchen and bring out a menu they've marked-up to show what is safe, what can be substituted, and what is not safe, given your restrictions.

My partner and I ate here last night based on a recommendation from a trustworthy source in our hometown of Bend. What an incredible experience! The staff was exceptional, and worked flawlessly as a team to make sure we always had what we needed, and to share their favorite dishes. The food was fantastic! Small yet significant adjustments to make some traditional Basque/Spanish dishes extra special. We'll recommend Urdaneta to all our friends and will certainly return on another trip to Portland.

I'm surprised I hadn't heard of this place prior to visiting, so good! (note: I might also live under a rock..) Every dish was so unique and flavorful, I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. Our server was exceptional and all the staff we interacted with were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, it made for a really enjoyable experience. I'll come back for the food but the service is what compelled me to write a review. We were greeted with a complimentary small cup of very delicious soup when we arrived and parted with a celebratory cheesecake. Look at this to go box, come on!? Make a reservation now! :)

Uraneta is a treasure! Our first time dining there and I can not say enough about how amazing the total experience was. Friendly, welcoming staff. Service was wonderful. Food was inventive, beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. The grilled octopus dish was outstanding! Save room for the Pear tres leches cake!

Visited for the first time recently with a large group for a work celebration and had a wonderful time. The food was inventive and tasty--the trout dish really shined. The most memorable part of the evening, however, was the spectacular service from the wait staff. Highly recommend.

This dinner took me out. I wish I had documented every delicious bite, but I was too busy enjoying food heaven to snap photos of everything. Highlights: the service (thank you, Maddie! A little Tempranillo goes a long way when the kitchen is slammed/food is coming out at a slow pace); the whole trout (the brining/subtle fermented notes/crispy jamon - gahhh, what a dish); the Matrimonio and mushroom pinxtos; the tahini swirl surrounding the Brussels; the pear tres leches... I could go on and on. Rhapsodic. Cannot wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. My only "dislike" is the closeness of the seating/loudness of the room; it felt like we were hostages to our next-table-neighbors' conversation for a good portion of the evening. This isn't a deterrent against a return trip, but something to keep in mind if you're looking for a quiet meal (this is not the place for it on a Friday night!).

I like salt and I like Brussels sprouts, had the Brusela. What I don't like it Brussels with my salt. I wanted to love the Dungess Crab tart but was also extremely salty, I could feel my blood pressure rising. The Arroz con Pato was also salty but hung in there for this one, it was good otherwise. The drinks are weak. Really wanted to love this place you can tell by the photos the food presents well. I tried but sadly I won't be back.
