Authentic Tamil flavors at their best!
Vanakam is hands-down one of the best Indian restaurants around, especially if you love authentic South Indian (Tamil) food. Their dosai, vadai, sambar, and appam taste just like home — perfectly spiced, flavorful, and made with care. I also appreciate that they offer a nice variety of North Indian curries, so there’s something for everyone.
The quality has been consistently good every time I’ve visited, and the owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming. If you’re craving genuine Tamil or South Indian cuisine, Vanakam is a must-visit!

We had a great and smooth experience working with Ganesh on a catering order for our office Diwali celebration. Would easily order from them again. Food was delicious.

Everything was delicious! We tried the fish curry, butter chicken, saag paneer, and chicken biriyani. Each was 5 out 10 spicy. I give it 5 big booms.

Food is awesome and tasty . Services can be slow during busier times .
Vegetarian beware - they fries all vegetarian items like samosa , Manchurian , vada etc in SAME oil as chicken/goat stuff so it’s not really pure vegetarian , especially for the people who has meat allergies.

Food didn’t taste good, one meal was over spiced and other had no salt no spice at all. Restaurant was highly recommended so we decided to give it a shot. It took long time to receive our food & food wasn’t even worth it. Disappointing experience.

Food was good for a strip mall lunch place. Wish they had butter chicken for their buffet/hot to go though! Service was friendly and prompt too :)

Best Indian food in Portland, beaverton, hillsboro area. Tried all of the Indian restaurant. This one so far the best in terms of food. Environment is shitty, and small I won't lie on that. But food is amazing specially the goat biriyani.

Falooda was nice! Chicken tikka tasted great but there wasn’t very much chicken so lots of leftover sauce. Halwa was nice - they have puri too. All chicken is halal! Good spot for desi food
I ordered podi idly, chicken keema dosa and filter coffee. Initially it tasted good, but in some time, my stomach started feeling the acidity. I felt intense discomfort in my stomach and food pipe for the next 4 hours. I think it was the chicken keema dosa that caused this. I swear I’ve never felt this in my entire life so far. It has affected me so much that I’ve decided not to eat non veg outside in a restaurant ever again. Disappointed!
