Veggie Grill is a perennial favorite and it never disappoints! It doesn’t matter what you order, you know it’s going to be amazing! They also make a rotation of homemade lemonades in house that are simply amazing! Updated from previous review on 2026-01-30
I love the Veggies Grill in Portland for its flavourful, fresh food. The menus seems to have been well thought out with something for every kind of craving and hunger. Plus, it is consistently good. I’ve been to the restaurant more than 5 times, never have I felt their standards drop. We love going there as a family with my 3 year old as she loves the food too! And if you manage to hit them at a time when they’ve just freshly baked their chocolate chip cookies.. you’ve hit the jackpot. My fav is the Thai Bowl, and the Veggie Supreme burger. pro tip: if you there more than once, get registered for their rewards .. I’ve had free meals (BOGO) more than once Updated from previous review on 2026-01-18
〇 Teriyaki protein bowl (I added vegan egg) 〇Buddha Brunch Bowl 〇Pumpkin Cake ✨Review✨ It’s a vegan chain restaurant.🌱 You can enjoy American food, and there are so many menu options. I highly recommend it.😍 I’ve tried two bowls so far.🍽️ The Teriyaki Protein Bowl comes with rice on the bottom, and you can choose tofu or vegan meat for the teriyaki. The vegan egg is so realistic and it’s my favorite!🥚✨ I also loved that it comes with lots of fresh raw veggies! 🥗 The Buddha Brunch Bowl has quinoa on the bottom and is topped with tempeh and plenty of grilled vegetables.🌈 The creamy sauce is absolutely delicious.🤍 The pumpkin cake is a seasonal dessert 🎃 It’s quite sweet, but that’s America, right?lol The price is a little high, but the portions are generous so it’s totally worth it.💸✨ Everything was delicious and very satisfying. The staff are kind and the restaurant is clean and cozy 🫶✨ 🌱All vegan Updated from previous review on 2026-01-16
For me, the quality has dipped and it seems even more fast-food-y than before. I also dislike the way their menu has combined with Next Level...I preferred both being separate restaurants not more of the same spread out over multiple locations. It's a fun stop here and there but in a city like Portland, it's not a dining priority. Updated from previous review on 2025-12-14
If you're in downtown Portland, this is a great option for you. It's overpriced fast food, but always tastes good.
Best Buddha Bowl I've ever had!! The veggies were all absolutely delicious. I got the chipotle sauce. Love that they have healthier options along with more indulgent fare!
I got the far east thai bowl. Flavors were good but could have used more sauce. Not a ton of food for the price.
I had a fantastic experience at Veggie Grill! The portions were huge, and there was an impressive variety of delicious dishes. Everything was super tasty, and I can definitely recommend it!
Veggie Grill - downtown Portland, OR We're in Pdx for a few days. Sooo many places to try, new and old, so little time lol. While we can eat Veggie Grill in Seattle, tonight we opted for convenience as Veggie Grill is within a few minutes walk of our hotel and I've been jonesing their Pan Seared Salmon protein plate ever since it was first announced but haven't had the chance to stop by Veggie Grill locally. We got a bit carried away with ordering too much, which isn't unusual when going to Veggie Grill lol, it almost seems sacrilegious to go there and not order some variety of Mac and Cheese 🤷😅. Everything was great, VG never disappoints 🙌. The cheese bites were great, haven't had them before .. pretty sure it's a relatively new offering. The center was soft and cheesy and nicely balanced with the dipping sauce. The Seared Salmon had a great flavor. If I'm being honest, I didn't find it to be very reminiscent of salmon, there was no flakiness associated with salmon, this dish had more of a vegan spam feel/ texture. This was my observation but it's not intended as a critique, just my objective take. The dish was really good, very flavorful, the color was reminiscent of salmon and there was a subtle but noticeably pleasant seafood-y after-taste on the back end. I have to mention how friendly and personable everyone was. We've always found staff at VG and Next Level to be friendly but everyone tonight just seemed really genuinely approachable and friendly. Kelsey took our order for us and chatting with her really felt like we were in a place where we belonged, a vegan home away from home, an extra touch that was really appreciated. So my recommendation is ... come for the food, come for the camaraderie, and then stay way too long because you're gingerly nursing a food coma from ordering and eating too much 🤭🤤.

Loved the diversity of options and clear menue.
Loved that the menu had a nice mix of healthier bowls as well as comfort/fried food.
This establishment has it going on! I haven't enjoyed any of my food on this trip until I got here. The food was good, the service was fast, the facility was clean, everything was in order. I will be back before leaving town.

I’m in Portland for a conference and came here for lunch twice, because I love veggie grill and there’s not one where I live and because it was convenient to the hotel. The first day I had buffalo chicken salad which was delicious and a side of tater tots, because why wouldn’t you get tater tots? The second day I had nachos, which I had years ago but they were a bit of a disappointment. Not enough cheese sauce and the chicken was very bland, which was odd because I love the chicken when it’s breaded and in buffalo sauce! The other thing is, you have to eat them fast as they are not very good once they start getting cold. Doubtful I would get the nachos again, but I definitely get the buffalo chicken wings again!
On their menu their french fries are labeled as gluten free. After asking a couple of questions, they are not gluten-free because they are fried in oil with other things that contain gluten. It's this kind of false advertising that makes it really hard for people to verify where to eat.
