If you try wailua shave ice in Hawaii and then try the one in Portland you may be slightly disappointed at the much smaller portion for basically the same price or more. Which seems odd because of how expensive Hawaii is. Still fine overall.

The perfect tasty and light weight dessert! It's packed with flavor and is cool and refreshing. The service is very fast and friendly. Heads up, there's not a lot of seating, but it's the perfect thing to take on the go.

The fact that they have lihing powder as a topping already sets the bar! I luckily stumbled upon this little gem as I was walking through the area. I find it very hard to find a good shave ice place on mainland. And I was especially surprised to find one in Portland! Wailua shave ice is a Hawaiian style shaved ice place. They make their ice very thin and soft and nothing like your typical snow cone. The fact that the owners are from Kauai is a bonus as my family is from there as well. They most certainly do not skimp out on syrup or toppings. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area. The only downside is that they do not have indoor seating. However, there are plenty of benches you can sit at nearby the store itself. This will be added to my must stops in Portland!

I enjoy going here when I'm in the area! It sucks the location is kind of inconvenient- lack of parking small seating area nestled in a building with other businesses. Not really a comfortable area to sit and enjoy it. The shaved ice is refreshing but the best part is the foam they top it off with! So yummy. Pretty standard service.

The best shave ice we ever had! This was one of our stops on the All Inclusive Downtown Portland Food Tour and it's so great to be able to try authentic Hawaiian shaved ice without the expensive plane ticket. We had Ube (purple yam) and Orange Dream (Orange Coconut) and both are mind blowing. Try it and you won't regret it!

This place is a gem! "Da Mango One" with condensed milk was such a treat, and so refreshing. It's across the street from Powell's, so if you're headed there, may as well stop here for a snack.

Parking sucks. But it's portland so that explains it all. Order online from their IG page or scan the QR code when you get there. Be prepared to wait, they get quite busy. No dine in. Pick up at window and don't block the hallway lol. Choose any flavor, choose 'em all, you'll have no regrets!! Say Aloha to Bruno for me!

Wailua feels like a portland secret that needs to be shared! Their shave ice is a delicious work of art! Beautiful, soft, fluffy ice topped with tropical, natural juices, bits of fruit, and a kiss of coconut cream on top! Lort have Mercy!! Mmmm!!! Many choices and flavors♡♡♡ The absolute best in town!! It would be the best in Hawaii!!
