Wong's King is spacious and clean, they have a lot of tables, able to accommodate big parties, like weddings or other big celebration parties. They also have a private room with 3 or 4 tables for medium size parties if you want to rent out the whole room. Their restaurant often gets booked out on the weekends especially during the summer, if you plan on coming with a big group on the weekends, I would call ahead of time. Me and my family have been coming here for many years. We come here for dinner and dim sum often, they have a big selection of food, from a variety of appetizers, noodles, fried rice, different dim sum, authentic Chinese entrees, drinks and dessert options as well. I have tried a variety of their dishes, their food is flavorful, fresh, delicious and most importantly, good price for consistent quality food. Food comes out fast and they have good customer service, do expect a long wait on the weekends during lunch hours for dim sum, come early if possible but it's worth the wait. Wong's King is definitely my go to Chinese restaurant in Portland, great lunch and dinner option. I look forward to dining in again.

I am not sure why this place has been so low rated. I came here because we suddenly wanted to eat dim sum and it was the closest dim sum restaurant. I have to admit that I was worried when I saw so many negative reviews before coming here. We arrived around 2 pm, so the restaurant was quite empty at that time. The service was great. Everyone there was trying to serve us, which made me feel like a super star. Each dish we ordered was good. I wouldn't say it was super delicious, but every dish was quite tasty. The tea was good as well. I don't know what tea it was, but it's not that cheap jasmine tea. Because we arrived late, some dishes had been cooled down, they offered to re-heat the dishes for us. I appreciate that. Some restaurants would just let you eat cold dim sum! If I ever come back to Portland area again, I would love to come again.

This place has the BEST EVER orange chicken!!! And I am not exaggerating either. I have had orange chicken from many many places but this place is by far the best ever! Their orange sauce is unique and one of a kind, I havent found anything like it anywhere else. Not even close. Their pricing isnt the cheapest but its definitely worth the money! I rarely rate anything 5 stars and I rate lots of things. If I could I would rate the orange chicken a 10. As far as other items on the menu I cannot say much about since I have not tried it except their house fried rice. It's great and goes nicely with the orange chicken!!

A lot of folks love to hate, and sadly...I can kind of relate. Dining here can be frustrating, haha, yet I keep coming back for more. Why? Because it's delicious! Ok, yeah, yum. Wong's King is the one. Whenever I'm in PDX and craving Dim Sum I go to The King. It's my thing. The place emits Chinese fancy, complete with a little bling bling. If you're planning to come on the weekend, expect to arrive right at open, otherwise take a number and prepare to wait...and wait...and wait. It's worth the wait! My new strategy is to come on a weekday, also arriving before opening, this guaranteeing a spot at a table. I understand this isn't applicable to all, but it's my pro-tip of the day. BASS! BASS BOOST! Add their homemade hot sauce and ask for extra napkins 'cause you'll be salivating something fierce. The shao mai, xiao long bao, pork spareribs with black bean garlic sauce, tofu wrapped pork and shrimp chive dumplings are just a few faves of mine. Everything is great. I also recommend ordering off their "regular menu" as they have it all! **as a quirky side note, they have a bar in the back with an incredibly fun vibe. Sometimes, when it's too busy, I just sit in the bar...all alone sometimes, haha. I get my food quickly and see some of the same people I saw on my way in...still waiting outside. Ooof. I get it. It's worth the wait, but with this pro tip you can avoid it... YELP won't upload my pic attached to this post, so you'll have to check my pics to see what a dim sum spread for 1 looks like! BA$$!

Here's what I tried: Sticky rice - 5 stars - Great flavor and perfect portion size Shu mai - 3 stars - Tasted good, but too big and too oily Char siu pastry - 2 stars - Flaky, but no flavor Chicekn feet - 2 stars It wasn't busy so it seems like the food wasn't the freshest. My stomach felt gross later that day. Service was pretty friendly and I liked that I didn't have to wait to be seated. The parking lot was pretty full and we snagged the last open spot.

3.5 stars - we are dim sum lovers Good: tripe was best ever, shumai was great, humbow was very good; sticky rice was also very well done; tea and water was brought without needing to ask. Not so good: they open at 10am but they are not ready until 11am, had to wait a long time to get everything we wanted; they are extremely skimpy on their hot sauce (had to ask for 4 refills for a party of 3 people); wrappers are too thick; too many things are fried which made this place the heaviest dim sum we have had and options are limited to 'American` dim sum, nothing new or exciting. The tripe was so good that it made up for a lot of the not so good.

This is the go-to restaurant for Chinese cuisine. The award winning chef never disappoints. The menu is varied with seafood, duck, beef and chicken, and there are many options for the vegetarian.

Excellent food. We went for dinner, so it wasn't as busy, but they did run out of a few items on the menu. Other than that, excellent food!

It sort of reminded me of nyc sunday dim sum brunch. It was good. It was what I expect of real dim sum.

My go to lunch spot for dim sum. I would recommend their shumai, shrimp dumplings, pork bun and for dessert their egg custard bun! They have dim sum carts going around constantly, and quick staff with water or drink re fills. Big open room for seating, they start you off with a hot pot of tea for the table which I really enjoy! If you're ever in the area I suggest a pop in to this place.

Pretty good Chinese Restaurant. Had a whole roast duck with some Chinese friends. The food was typical Chinese-Chinese food, though I would have wanted an additional tofu dish. Still it was a nice change from wet fried rice, stir fried meat & veggies in a heavy sauce with a made up Chinese name that's popular to Americans.

No service here, minimalist interacting with guests, we had to get up to get our dinner order. The Restaurant was empty at 6 PM on a Wednesday and it was only 5 tables filled when we left at 8 pm.
