Operating on a level of community engagement other orgs actually cannot comprehend.

As a visitor from South Carolina (aka Trumpistan), I am thrilled to know places like this establishment actually exist. We have no such refuges in my region. It’s so refreshing to mingle with people who value good drinks, good politics, and good society.
Thank you thank you for making my visit to Portland memorable.
Thank you for supporting and defending your community so well.
Thank you for just being good humans.

What a cute place! Any time of day they have coffee, which is awesome. They also have lots of beer on tap! I just love it here super sweet owners and experience. Mexican food truck right outside is gas.

It's important to have businesses that stand for something beyond just making money and this is a great example of one.

Great rotating tap list and coffee options all hours, and a great food cart around the back. Cozy vibes all around

Drinks only but there is a nearby food cart and they let in outside food. Leftist literature all over. Trans friendly!

I visited this cafe hoping for a relaxing experience, but was disappointed to find the atmosphere heavily politicized. Instead of enjoying a peaceful coffee, I felt surrounded by aggressive messaging and one-sided political displays that made the space feel tense and divisive. A cafe should be a place for warmth and connection not a stage for promoting conflict or taking sides. Sadly, this one has lost the spirit of peace that hospitality should stand for.

As soon as I landed from Denver and drove into Portland I hit this place for a breakfast beer. Service was amazing and since it was early one cool local was there I had a blast chatting with. Definitely felt very welcomed. Great beer and coffee selection as well as pastries. Total gem.

One of my all-time favorite Portland places to meet people or work late. Great beer selection. Great people.

Wandered in off the street despite never hearing if this place before and their latte was delicious! I'd love to stop in again soon!

Jews be careful. Was staying at a hotel down the street. Stopped in for a coffee on a beautiful morning. It took the barista several minutes to serve me despite being only one person in the place besides her friend.

Went to the patio to have my coffee. I was followed out by the barista who was carrying a huge Palestinian flag, and she proceeded to wave it feet from my head (I was the only person on the large patio). It was so bizarre she felt the need to do that? I’m guessing it was her way of saying Jews don’t belong here. I did not have any conversation with her besides wishing her a good morning and ordering a coffee. I’m guessing her micro aggression was triggered because of my Star of David. I don’t care about her politics, just wanted to enjoy the morning… She had the entire patio to wave her flag but chose to do it right over me. Coffee was decent but the situation was so strange! So my drama for a coffee lol! Grow up lady.

As a born and raised local, this is the best coffee shop in Portland. I’m a bartender and I feel so grateful to have a spot where I can chill in the afternoons before work. I know I can count on this place to have a bomb ass coffee (or matcha, or beer), read my book, perhaps meet friends for a healing yap, and chain smoke on the patio as much as my heart desires. This place rocksssssss. Please go here and spend your money so they can stay open forever.

First time in Portland and I felt instantly welcomed at this place. Loved the staff and atmosphere. I got an oat milk matcha which was delicious; as well as a tasty poppyseed cake donut. I’ll be coming back for sure.
