The food was absolutely delicious, but the service was disappointing. We were warmly greeted and even given a free bite of baklava, but the cups were dirty, a hot chocolate came out cold and another item was forgotten. Maybe we just came on an off day, but for the price, we expected better service. We might return for takeout because the baklava, falafel, labneh, lentil soup, and baba ghanoush were excellent.
This post is dedicated exclusively to the baklava. I could write an essay about this masterpiece but I won't make you read that. Please just go spend the best $4 you will all year. Thank you, Ya Hala 🖤
I had the quarter chicken which was not as flavorful as I expected. The cabbage salad was so lovely as were the potatoes. I ordered the gluten free pita and it was not palatable. The coconut flour was very overpowering. The cardamom, pistachio and rose water cake was the most amazing piece of cake I’ve ever had. I would definitely go back.
