Waited for over an hour for our food, and every time I attempted to speak to the waitress I was completely ignored. The food was extremely mediocre and the entire experience was not worth it.

Have been twice now and the entire store has been phenomenal. The 2nd time I ordered takeout and they gave me free miso while I waited. The sushi is the strongest of their menu items I've tried and you should absolutely do the same.

I enjoyed a wonderful lunch and experience at Yosu today. The staff was extremely kind and prompt with service and the sushi and miso were outstanding. I will be back, thank you!

This place was adorable!! And the food was amazing quality and priced so well for the experience! It may take a bit for things to come out but we got a ton of fried things which take longer! The appetizers come out right away!! Especially because the fried stuff is a type of katsu style. Honestly the best deep fried rolls I’ve ever had!! We got the st. John’s Bridge roll and the fish was so yummy!! I’m a real stickler about fish quality but this fish was so good!! I really hope as they get popular they won’t ever change the quality of their rolls because this will keep me coming back for more!!

I’ve been here 2 times and each time the wait for food was over an hour. The First time I was here it was busy. The second time I was here there was barely anyone and still an hour wait . They brought out my roll 20min before my friends… so am I supposed to eat and sit here and keep waiting ? Obviously we keep waiting to eat together. Also brought out someone else’s food after they came much later then us.
They tried making up for it with an extra bowl of $2 miso soup and cold beans which doesn’t make sense why two rolls of sushi would take over an hour to make with only one other customer in the entire restaurant.

I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at this sushi restaurant. The sushi was not only delicious but also extremely clean, giving off a homely feeling. What made this experience even more special was the charming proprietress. She is incredibly beautiful with a sweet voice and an excellent personality. It was truly a stroke of luck to have dined here. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great sushi and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

I wish I could leave Yosu Sushi a good review. My friend and I sat down to eat at 6 pm and ordered ramen, katsu chicken, agedashi tofu, a Hawaiian roll, and a spicy tuna roll. While my friend got her katsu chicken and soup, I was left waiting 1 hour for my food. The waitress did bring us appetizers we NEVER asked for with my friend's food like edamame and calamari. After flagging the waitress down we asked how much longer it would take for the rolls and she told us 10-15 minutes. I was still really hungry after eating some but not all the appetizers she brought us without asking so decided to wait 10 minutes. We canceled our order at 7:10 pm and almost left after paying when I checked our receipt and saw that she did charge us $16 for appetizers we didn't want. I would have been okay paying that price if she had been honest about wait times and apologized for the mistakes on our order. However, when I requested a refund she haggled and continued to waste 15 minutes of my time. She tried to appease us by giving us free soda! She offered us two sprites and two coca colas, but that was an obvious insult to our intelligence after messing up our order and claiming we got what we wanted. Finally, the sushi chef noticed us arguing with the waitress and took a look at my receipt and agreed to refund us for the appetizers. I really hate seeming entitled, but I have never left a restaurant feeling so insulted and hungry before. I love sushi and I wanted to love You sushi, but after driving from Eugene for a concert I was so let down and disappointed. I would have been okay going elsewhere if I didn't have an event to go to at 8 pm. Sidenote: we also witness another pair cancel their order and we saw two friends dine and dash. It's obvious they lack in customer service. I decided to attach a photo of the receipt as proof.
Absolutely awful service. Took 20 minutes to get a menu (and we had to ask the server for menus. An hour after ordering, our food hadn't come out, and we had to ask what happened. The chef looked like he had no idea we had even ordered. Go next door to the Thai place, you'll be so much happier.

This is one one the best sushi places in Portland, family owned and operated so you know you will get the best. And they are very nice sweet accommodating people. Highly recommend!!
