Bars are supposed to be welcoming. I have been here a couple times in the last few years and have never felt welcomed. None of the bartenders smile and are normally rude. Usually when you work for tips you try to be a little friendly. I will not go back. It's really too bad it's the only bar in town.

This place is a little gem. Found it on our way from Seattle back to the Bay Area in Cali. Loved the ambiance, everyone seems to know each other, friendly and welcoming. We were greeted and welcomed immediately by a friendly local who introduced us to another local, Beetlejuice, so of course our pooch was welcomed as well :) Desiree, bartender and cook, is both cordial and welcoming. Not only does she bartend and know her clientele, but she cooks and does it all seamlessly amazing. The mini corns dogs are delicious. If we are ever around the area again, we will most definitely be back here.

Service and vibes are great, fish and chips was so good, fries could be a bit more crispy tho. This place wouldn’t even be running without Desiree!

My wife and I had one beer each. Paid cash right away. Ordered another round and bartender charged us for second round and charged again for our empty cans from first round. We said something and she corrected it. Not sure if this is common problem on coast but we’ve been short changed or overcharged at 3 different bars in a few days. Kinda getting old. Happened at Double Ds in Winchester bay,Jerry’s in Florence and now tides. Maybe the bartenders see tourist and see an easy scam. Watch what you get for change. Buyer beware

So I've now frequented this establishment twice now. The first time it was a lackluster night with minimal patron but friendly crowd and the bartenders personable and friendly but maybe a little spread thin at times. Some manner of appetizer was ordered, fried mushrooms were still frosty in the middle but lava on the outside. That is a faux pas on cook with grease temp I believe. But I have faith it is not going to be a consistent thing. The big thing is there are social activities here such as bingo and pool tournaments and karaoke on Saturdays. I don't know of another pub in town so far that does anything. Or another pub at all. Overall its a good clean place.

Parking: Parking is offset and across the street from the building. Kind of odd and jumbled.

Great burgers hands down! I wandered in there, I was in a town I never been to or knew anything about anything to do or eat plus it was getting dark and rainy and I still had a two hour drive to make it home. I randomly picked this place because it was near where I initially parked. Immediately as I walked in it felt like a locals hangout bar, lots of socializing and easy to tell who was visiting and who lived in town. The bartender lady was super nice and the burger was ready very quickly and was massive, I can't believe I ate the whole thing, but I finished my plate, casually finished my drink as I played some slots. I actually won enough money to pay for my meal too and leave a good tip ta boot. I'd definitely go back and get some dinner if I find myself passing through there again. The local folks pretty much left me alone so it was a peaceful time where nobody asked me about who I was, where I'm from, where am I going, etc. Sometimes I don't like that small talk banter and this was the perfect place for me to relax and eat because I had just driven an ungodly amount of miles from California and was happy to find an open restaurant, the food was hella good and I'd surely stop there again the rare time i find myself passing through again.
