I have been skiing at Skibowl for years (it's the closest to my house), and as a veteran, always take advantage of the military discounts for active and retired military. It has never been a problem before. However, on 01/19/2021 I went in to buy my ski pass and told the lady working there that I am a veteran. She informed me that Skibowl has changed the policy, that instead of a discounted lift ticket, I am to buy a ticket at full price and then bring it in at the end of the day in exchange for a guest pass to use at a later date. At the end of my ski day I went in to guest services with my pass to exchange. But when I told the lady I am a veteran she acted like I was lying. (As a female I have become accustomed to many years of people not believing me when I say I'm a veteran.) So I showed her my military ID. She then said that Skibowl has changed their policy, that it's for active military only and that veterans have been "cut from the program". I was embarrassed because the lady was being snobby and acting like I wanted something for nothing, and I felt set up because the lady who sold me the ticket in the morning didn't say anything about veterans "being cut". When I left the resort I looked on the internet and found that the page about military discounts. The page clearly says "active and retired members of the military". It didn't say anything about veterans "being cut". If veterans have been indeed "cut from the program", then why is it still on the website? And if it's true that veterans have been cut, then why didn't the lady who sold me the ticket in the morning not know of the new policy? I telephoned both Meadows and Timberline this morning who have assured me that their discounts for active and retired military have not changed. In fact the guy at Timberline said what I experienced at Skibowl "does not sound right at all". I will be skiing at Meadows and Timberline for now on, not because of the so-called "policy change", but because of the difference in what I was told vs what I read on the website, and because of the difference of "knowledge" between the employees. I will be writing my experience on review pages just so that no other veteran (especially female who do get the brunt of discrimination) gets set up the way I was and goes through this.

Great atmosphere, great place to meet new friends and have a good relaxing break with a good selection of beer and food. I deducted a star because the girl working there provided me with one of the lowest customer service experiences I have seen. I didn't notice that a window pane was out, making for a walk-up ordering service, I was asking out loud to my friend how we ordered, we were not sure. She literally was staring at us, looking like we were inconveniencing her by wondering how to order something, never even said hello or anything. I was asked if I wanted butter on my bread and I said yes please. There was no butter in sight upon receiving my food. She had set the tray in the window sill, I wasn't sure if it was ready at all because she kept adding stuff to the tray. Then she just left the window, I didn't know if she was getting anything else (like the butter I did not get) but nope, she just walked away after the tray was completed. I had to ask if it was ready as I was confused she had turned away for such a couple minutes. She was everything shy of being verbally rude to me. One of the worst customer service experiences I have had honestly and I had been in customer facing customer service environments for a decade! A shame to see being she works at such a cool location. Sad. I still tipped, which I shouldn't have. I hope her night got better.

I have never been to mount hood before, and was trying to salvage a trip we had planned before Covid shutdowns complicated our adventure. The representative I spoke with via Skibowl's chat help line on 12/1/20 not only answered my questions promptly but went above and beyond to give me recommendations for our stay that helped us plan some fun while also operating within the governor's covid safety guidelines. It was very appreciated and I will definitely remember how helpful they were when planning future trips.

Excellent customer service and prompt follow up. We were upgrading from a Ski Bowl season pass to a Fusion Pass and Timberline was having some issues with their system. Ski bowl kept us up to date on all progress and expectations as to when we would be able to get our pass.

We visited on Labor Day weekend. It was crowded, but due to COVID, less crowded than a typical holiday weekend. We did the Alpine Slide, the zip lines -- and in a first for my wife and I, the bungee jump. It was a little scary, but exciting.

Had been there several times when we used to live in Oregon , now my daughter wants to go back on her birthday so I tried booking lodging and activities. The " chat" person responded quickly and very helpful. Can't wait to go back ! See u soon ski bowl !! Thank you for the info !

I’m learning to snowboard and completed the 1-2-3 lesson package. My first lesson was very crowded but the 2nd & 3rd were private but at group rate. The instructors were patient & encouraging. I’m a middle age woman who learned to ski at 8 so I’m finding humility in this but sticking with it because SkiBowl has made this so accessible.
