A fun stop on our way south. Great breakfast that was served hot. Preferred by locals so been around a long time. All the standard fare served well and a good price. Decent parking and good coffee
We went to grumpys despite negative reviews and were happily surprised! The fiid was amazing and while some of what the negative reviews say is accurate like long wait time for food and straight to the point service (which can be perceived as grumpy) these reviewers need to change there perception. We had a 15-20 minute wait for a table which was extremely reasonable considering the size of restaurant and staff, after ordering we did wait about an hour for food which was perfect...
Grumpys has such a sweet, old-school vibe, and the owners themselves seem wholesome and genuine. I thought it was really charming that the female owner actually sits down at your table to take your order, and the menu has all the classic diner favorites.
That said, I have to share that this isn’t a place I’d recommend bringing children. I saw other people having meals with young children , and while the kids in the diner were just being their happy, normal...
