Maybe it's a good thing that Girardet isn't marked from the road, it feels like a hidden corner of the excellent Umpqua Valley wine region and makes for an intimate, personal tasting experience. The service is great and prices are very reasonable for some of the best wines in the area. Every one we tried was delicious, and we especially loved the Baco Noir. Have been here a couple of times now and we make a point of stopping in any time we're in the area.
Fantastic wine! The simplicity of the location and tasting room may be deceiving when compared to other fancy tasting rooms but we all know the best gems are a little harder to find! The wine is memorable with a good variety of grapes and certainly worth taking bottles home! Wish I had planned to love it and stock up! Regardless, I'll return and be more prepared next time! We stopped by spontaneously while driving on the highway and it was so worth the stop. Don’t look for signage, just follow your gps. The wine was great, the people were very friendly, and the whole thing was just unpretentious and down to earth. The Barbera and Baco were our favorites.
