Solid food! I actually went twice in one day due to some funny circumstances with a friend meetup. From its name, to its hours (closed Sundays) to the music they play, this place unabashedly exudes its religiosity. Their food is good. Not perfect, but good. For lunch I had a brisket sandwich. Perfect roll, 7.5/10 brisket. The brisket was really moist in some places and super dry in other places. The coleslaw is fantastic as are the corn muffins. For dinner I had a few ribs along with some mac and cheese and more coleslaw. The ribs were good, but again perhaps lacking the moistness that I'd hope for (they were a little chewy). The mac and cheese was solid, and while not the best I've had, it was a very good accompaniment to the ribs. Friendly service and decently fair pricing – perhaps a little on the steep side. Lastly, I'll remark on their sauces. They're fantastic. Lots of choice. You'll need them for the meat to add moisture.

Really really bad. They have no business charging such high prices for such terrible food. The $18 Tri Tip Sandwich had more fat than meat on it. The 2 Meats Combo was dry, the mashed potatoes were gummy and the beans undercooked. The worst part about it was the food was bland. Too bad it was a delivery order or else the waiter would have seen all my uneaten food and offered my money back. Good thing I compost.

So good! Been coming here for over 10 years and it is always perfect. The tri-tip is amazing. Honestly, best place to eat in Salem and top 3 in Oregon! Definitely try it!

Enjoyed an early dinner here while visiting from out of town. Wife and I split the 4-meat combo. Mac & cheese was average, garlic potatoes were good, and really enjoyed the smoked chicken quarter, pork ribs and their unique cheesy take on Texas toast! The brisket was of the shredded variety (I prefer sliced) and had very good flavor but was a little dry the day we went, and a little sparse on the portions. We doubled up on the smoked pork ribs and they were meaty, smokey and fantastic - very large portions on the ribs. Healthy portions of most items. And I can't recall the last time I saw RC Cola available on the soda machine! And it was good - syrup ratio was perfect! Their homemade sauces were decent; really enjoyed the flavorful spicy BBQ sauce. Fast, friendly service with good food overall. Pricing was reasonable for good fresh bbq. Will eat here again and try some new things next trip.

I manage a restaurant so Valentines Day was a 14 hour work day for me. Today is my first day off since,so my husband and I were doing our dinner. I wanted Adams BBQ. We discovered them at the Fair last year and were very impressed. So I placed our order at 5:09pm to be picked up at 5:45. I knew traffic would be heavy so wanted to make sure food was still hot when we picked it up. Got there at 5:35pm, food already sitting on counter ready to go. Get home and immediate disappointment when I open my Brisket sandwich. Meat looked like it was a few days old, dry, brittle and hard. My husband's Tri Tip dinner looked like it had been microwaved. Everything ice cold, except potato salad which was warm. The best part of the meal was the slice of Texas Toast. We spent $44 including a 15% tip. So excited to have dinner with my husband and get to eat Adams again. Unfortunately, I am still hungry and eating a bowl of cereal now for dinner.

I'm going back for more. The bun of my sandwich was from a good bakery and the smokey flavor of the ham in my sandwich tasted real so exceptional.

This was my second time trying this place out.Ordered a two meat plate to go for pick up.Didn’t receive any BBQ sauce and my ribs really needed it as they were a bit tough and dry. Coleslaw came as just straight cabbage without the sauce. I called to let them know that and they said they’d give my card a small partial refund. I’ve yet to receive that.. will update review if I do get it.Food wasn’t good enough to come back a 3rd time.

I picked up someone in need at Adam's who wasn't all there mentally. The staff were wonderful and kind and courteous. They made space and were polite. It's rare to see real kindness these days.

The atmosphere was overall great. I walked in and was greeted not only by the staff, but also by the amazing smell of BBQ. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly, the food ”chopped brisket sandwich and coleslaw” was on point. My only complaint is that the sandwich was small. Or should I say the amount of meat in the sandwich was very underwhelming. $16 for a sandwich and a side is not to much to ask. Just make it worth it.
