The restaurant is nice. The salad was awesome and huge. The pizza tasted good but there was no structure, you couldn't even pick up a piece without it falling apart and had to eat nearly the entire slice, minus the crust, with a fork and knife.

Pie was a bit less than what I was hoping for. Crust was too thin and way too moist to enjoy. Like a puddle in the middle of the pie. I had two pieces and quit. Probably won't be back because I don't see them changing much.

Did some research thought this would be a great place to get a bite in Salem and the food was excellent but the service was unsatisfactory. I watched them deliver my appetizer to another table and then I watched them, redeliver their appetizer before the corrected appetizer to the other table again , which was really annoying because it was about 45-1hr! I’m really not that much of an impatient person, but I was incredibly disappointed because there was only about six maybe eight tables being served. To give them credit, they did give me a 25% discount but nonetheless I ordered my pizza from New York Pizza down the street

Best pizza ever. We love in Gresham, but if we have anything to do near Salem, we will swing by Basil & Board for the bruschetta and pizza! Unique toppings (love my beets, goat cheese and fresh dill), but the crust is to die for! Great wait staff. Only complaint is that the seating is not cushioned at all, so it can get uncomfortable pretty quickly.Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free crust, but I haven't tried it.

The food is good, but way too expensive for what it is. The best chopped salad I've found in the city.

Vegan pizzas were delicious and they are generous with toppings! Nice happy hour drink specials, cute vibe and great service… only thing I would love to see are vegan options on the appetizer menu.Dietary restrictions: Vegan pizzas clearly marked and are tasty

Basil and board is a go-to in Salem for wood fired pizza but sometimes it can be disappointing. We had a bruschetta flight that was really good (always is), the chopped salad which was also very tasty and an artichoke pizza that we ended up having remade. The pizza was very undercooked and the dough in the center of the pie was still raw. Of all the times we've been to basil and board, this wasn't the case, so I'd still give it 4/5 stars. They have a decent wine list and pretty good happy hour deals.

Horrible manger, food and service. Frank mad because I changed my reservation when the place had more than enough seats and was not busy. Overpriced for small portions. Spent more than $70 for toast with cheese and a nasty pizza. Never again will I be back or recommend. Over hyped for no reason at all.

All the charm of a shopping mall cafeteria. Our baguette bread for the appetizer had green mold on

If I could do zero I would. I tried to make reservations multiple times, left multiple messages which no one returned my emails...calls or texts. I should have taken a clue and not continued in going there. We had 20 people and when we arrived with our group the configuration in the room DOES NOT seat 20. It seats 12 comfortably. Then when the waitstaff came I tried to order gf/vegan pizza and was told I had to pick gf OR vegan they wouldn't do both. They had one salad that could accommodate. I chose not to order. When the next person tried to order she was told 3 times they didn't have the items needed for that meal. She finally found something they did have. The next person tried to order a turkey bacon sandwich....oh they are out of turkey. So she asked to do chicken....nope can't substitute and would have to charge her for a different meat. Never mind they didn't have the meat that was to be on the sandwich. So she ended up with a bacon sandwich. Two more people down they were out of meatballs. So 4 more of our party had to change their order. Total disaster!!!!!! Will NEVER come back and I was charged a 25$ service charge for the room that didn't seat our 20 and 5 had to sit out in the restaurant unless they wanted to sit at the bar with backs to us.

Food was good Erica the Lead person told use we could not light a candle on a cupcake to celebrate our granddaughters 16th birthday. Keep in mind their were 6 of us and we all ordered a meal. So very sad. We will not return.

The food here is good but the service fell flat. We were visiting from out of town and our server seemed visibly annoyed at simple requests for more napkins or cutlery. It was really off putting and dampened the overall experience. I doubt we'll be in the area again anytime soon but I'm hesitant to return.

My family and I have been here about a dozen of times. The food is amazing!!! The service is terrible. Very very slow our last visit I had to go up to the bar area to ask for some service. Other than that the food is 10/10
