It's been much too long between visits.... after a day of exploring the Salem area (okay, a day waiting for the 4:00 Chemeketa opening time) we did a couple of tastings and split a fantastic charcuterie board. We got to visit with the sheep that were trimming the grass in the vineyard, and enjoyed watching the sun go down from the patio.
The Chemeketa wine studies center has three programs - managing vineyards, making wine, and hospitality. All three come together...

This place is beautiful. Super low key and laid back. Great if you are just getting into wine tasting. The staff was super nice and helpful. Go early if you want to have a nice private experience.

We had our wedding reception here and were extremely satisfied with this place. The staff were very helpful and professional, the grounds were stunning, and all our guests had a great time. We look forward to coming here more!
