A bit overpriced for the portions when compared to other local teriyaki places. The last two times I've gone, the waitress is rude for no reason almost like she hates her job. No customer service skills! Make sure to check your order if ordering takeout, I had to come back to get my order corrected.

Sarah was an incredible hostess. The food was stellar, fresh and delicious. The house dressing…is my favorite.

Food is fantastic. Just not sure what the issue is with how long it takes to get an order. We’ve ordered from here three times using DoorDash. Driver shows up 15 to 20 minutes after the order has been put in and ends up having to wait 15 or 20 minutes more for the food. This last time we ordered yesterday the driver showed up about 15 minutes after the order was put in. And then messaged us after waiting for 25 minutes saying that they were informed the order had not even been started yet and they were canceling the order. This is super unfortunate because like I said, we love the food. But we’re unable to drive to the restaurant to pick it up ourselves. I tried calling and talking with somebody at the restaurant to see if there’s anything we could do differently and they told me don’t use DoorDash come into the store. 😭

The rice wasn't cooked all the way. It was still hard, and couldn't eat it. I'm sure this doesn't happen all the time, but tells about quality control - they don't have it.
The meat items were tasty.
Slightly higher priced than other teriyaki places.
Because of the rice being undercooked, and being that rice comes with 90% of the food, I wouldn't recommend J's Teriyaki to friends or family.
I am an Asian Food eater, even my heritage is Spanish. This place is an amazing rare combination of Great Food, local home made Teriyaki sauce, and an outstanding customer service. I live 40min from Salem and by far this is amazing Food. Thank you J's Team ;-)

We aren't from Salem decided to try something different while in the area. Very yummy. I wish we had one of these in our area. It would eat here a lot.

Was a quiet clean place. Food was good . No real complaints. Server was nice, maybe a little distracted at times. Had to ask for cutlery and napkins. I had the shrimp and chicken mixed on top of my Yakisoba noodles. Shrimp a little over done but fresh. Chicken was delicious along with the noodles. Also had the Chicken Katsu with sticky rice. A bit over done on the chicken 😔 but a good dish. The KATSU SAUCE IS AMAZING!

All was particularly good- the sesame ball dessert made me feel like I was back in Asia - and the vanilla beach machine was excellent too!
