Absolutely terrible service. It takes an easy thirty minutes to forty five minutes to get a drink after ten p.m. here and that's after about an hour wait to get in. DO NOT waste your time. This place is a joke. It's a dump and ran by a bunch of clueless business owners.

I completely understand and respect the legal requirement to check physical IDs - I’m from the UK where I haven’t brought one out with me in years (I’m 35) - and didn’t realise how strict it was in the US. What shocks me is not the fact I was IDd but the tone and attitude with which this was handled by what now turns out to be the owner of the bar! From the moment we arrived, the owner was abrupt, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude. I was shouted at to “get out immediately,” with no attempt at basic courtesy or understanding.

I was singled out in a group where no one else was asked for ID, and when I offered multiple reasonable solutions - drinking water only, showing a photo of my ID, or going to get my physical ID and returning - all were refused. Instead, I was repeatedly shouted at to leave.

The hostility was so out of proportion that it honestly made me wonder whether the owner is xenophobic and only welcomes regulars. It was pretty dead actually so maybe I’m right. I’ve never experienced such unhelpful or inflammatory behaviour from the owner of a bar before and it really shook me up. I was so sad for my brother and sister in law (it was their stag and hen dos).

Thankfully, the night wasn’t ruined - we went to Windjammers - a nearby Karaoke joint - where the staff were warm, welcoming, and the atmosphere was fantastic. A complete contrast and a reminder that great hospitality still exists. I’ve screenshotted more about Windjammers for those interested in n alternative option.

Ana, Meighan and Mykie are the best bartenders! I came to Mykies and enjoyed the food, atmosphere and vibes! If you are looking for great food and service stop by! They are always having fun activities like karaoke and trivia. Great place great people.

First time in Salem, came across Mykie's and we found a gem! Immediately welcomed by the staff. A lot of laughs and smiles

Cool vibe in the back with pool, darts, and a small bar, but the front is a mess too few bartenders, barely any trash cans, and the balcony closes early for no reason. The dance area is way too tight, and half the tables by the DJ just block people trying to dance or move around. Could be a great spot with a bigger floor and better flow, but right now it feels more cramped than fun.
