First time eating at Rudy's Steakhouse. It was fantastic. The steaks were cooked to our liking, and the salad was even great. We did point out to our waitress that the mashed potatoes my wife got were not hot. Otherwise, our experience was great.

Amazing service and even better food, highly recommend their whisky. If you’re in town and looking for a good night this is the place to be.

Our nephew took us to dinner here recently and we were very disappointed in the service and the food. We had a reservation but didn't get seated until 15 minutes after our reservation time. Our server was terrible. She seemed almost inconvenienced to help us. Once she took our drink order and said she would bring bread back with our drinks she ignored us for another 25 minutes. We had to ask another server about our drinks and bread. By the time we received our drinks the ice was completely melted in the two drinks we ordered which were expensive Scotch on ice and a Bloody Mary was watered down. Our server still hadn't even taken our food order yet over 40 minutes after sitting there. Absolutely no situational awareness. Staff badly in need of extensive training. When we finally received our food two of us who ordered the smoked salmon tortellini discovered the salmon was way too dry and the pasta was overcooked and hard, and became ill later after we left. However, the ribeye was cooked per request and the presentation was decent but still not worth the price. Very disappointing to receive that poor service and food after spending that kind of money. We won't be coming back.

Been here before on happy hour and had a nice experience. Came back today, steak was cold, barley saw my waitress, food seemed to take an eternity whilst the place wasn’t busy. Won’t be coming back for a while

Bar was wonderful; very professional before being seated in restaurant. Chicken Marsala has changed to dry large THICK unflavored chicken breast with mushrooms but lacking in sauce like before. Our server took order and never returned until we flagged her down for more bread; she never brought it. Another staff member delivered our appetizer. Then after after an hour and 30 minutes, we flagged our server down again and asked if our food was close. A few minutes later she brought our dinners stating there was were electronic issues going on which didn’t make sense. We couldn’t understand why she didn’t check in with us about any delay with our dinner. My potatoes were bland and cold. Our bill was was $137 for two meals and very inadequate food and service. We felt like it was ordinary experience and felt ignored. There were no apologies.

April 3rd Dinner - Did not even recognize my dad’s 87th birthday though part of reservation, food was mediocre and my prime rib was a mess and 89% fat, food was barely warm, waitress was basically absent and did not really care we were guests. For $25 off meal it was clear they did not care. Manager nowhere to be seen and front desk had no to talk too. Unfortunately will not go back and have been going 1x-2x a year. A lot of great restaurants downtown and had better service and food many nights before. If I owned this place I would be very concerned as there is a lot of competition downtown and once the word gets around, it is all over. Train and test your staff and have the manager come around and ask how is everything going, when you are a fine dining place, you can do better and should.

I have been going to this resort for the last 2 weeks, for lunch and dinner, as well as drinks occasionally. I haven't had a single employee remember me or recognize this fact. Being the most expensive restaurant in all of Salem seems odd. The crab cakes are under cooked, the A5 runs out sometimes so be prepared to have a backup entree plan, lemon drops are larger or smaller depending on the time of day or night, ice noticed their 2× bigger during lunch and brunch on Sunday.I've been placed in corners of the rest frequently, which seems rude, and you don't get service often enough in the corners, it seems as well.Coffee isn't as good as it should be. Also, having no espresso machine is downright ridiculous. This is 2024 for crying out loud. They don't serve espresso martini due to this fact and that drink is the most popular drink at this moment in time, the hottest drink at any bar around the world, missing out on tons of drink patrons for sure.Dirty silverware a couple of times, I had a $200 bottle of wine, and the waitress spilled some on the white tablecloth. She giggled and said, "Sorry about that," tisk tisk.No escargot, being that the Russian and Ukrainian population is large here, one would expect escargot and caviar to be served all day and all night. I would get them both every time I ate here, literally.I'm not bashing the restaurant or the fine humans that work there, I want an understanding that constructive criticism is a learning experience. These are all valid tips to having a fine dining experience and establishment.Another thing is there should be a deductible wireless phone charger station, these are very important and customers love thus service, you can even add a few dollars to the bill for the service of charging their phone. Everyone is addicted to their phones, and they'll gladly pay.Lobster is rubbery, not enough butter reduction, and garlic flavor needs to be upped. Complimentary bread rolls are lousy, get rid of those, also the butter is the worst, last time is was so salty I couldn't even use a little.Clam chowder isn't up to par. Chicken Alfredo has tough chicken to chew. The Tomahawk challenge should be for the 2 pound tomahawk, and that's all, not everything else I ordered with it, that makes zero sense. There are 5 menus, the lunch menu, the dinner menu, the kids menu that isn't printed often to use, the wine menu, the drink & cocktail & dessert menu. What the heck?I don't get my drinks in a timely fashion, I even wasn't given a drink menu at all until I asked a couple times, I'm a bottle drinker when I go out, usual always over $200 just in my drinks alone, I've spent $thousands on drinks at restaurants and bars just for myself and this isn't something that should be second, Start pushing the sparkling water and still bottled water, due away with the free water unless someone asks for it, and anyone who does is let a valued patron.Upgrade the dessert menu, add key lime pie for sure, and a couple of exotic items. Also, nothing beats a good bacon maple bar. ?I'm here more to help then hinder, I enjoy this place and want to see it at its full potential.Kid-friendliness: Bot a place for children, they will be bored out of their minds, also some patrons look at you with the evil eye when you have your kids present, very odd.

My family just returned home an hour drive after eating here. We were very disappointed. My adult son ordered a medium rare cheeseburger no tomatoes. He was served a rare cheeseburger with tomatoes. I ordered medium rare filet medallions it was served rare. My husband ordered prime rib sliders and didn't care for the old taste. Our server did not come back to check on us for quite sometime. So we ate what was served. We were not given the option to be seated in the dining room. We were seated in a chilly patio where the over table heater did not work. We rarely go out to dinner except special occasions and were looking forward to a nice steak dinner. We were deeply disappointed. We will not return.
