A Stump? More like A Stunner! 🍷🍕🌿
Okay, I came for the wine and left wondering if I had just blacked out and woken up in Napa. A Stump in Salem? Who knew?! The wine list was so good I briefly considered canceling all future plans and just moving in.
Then came the pizza. I swear it strutted out of the kitchen like it was headed for a Vogue cover shoot—those mushrooms were model material. And the burrata? Paired with that mellow herbed salad? I had to double-check I wasn’t being secretly filmed for a food show called “Surprise! You’re Fancy Now!”
The sunset was giving “peaceful countryside retreat,” the service was warm and wonderful, and honestly, I’m still thinking about that meal like it was a summer fling I wasn’t ready to end.
We’re 100% coming back. Probably with friends. Possibly with a moving truck.
And yes ! Dogs are welcome and they will give them a bowl of water
Awesome location. Most vineyards around here have great views, but Stomp is tucked beside the river in a cherry orchard. The service was wonderful and the pizza was yummy too! They have a lift available for people with mobility needs which was really handy.
We go to wineries on the weekends, we always get the same things: The tasting flight, charcuterie, and an artichoke dip. This place didn't have artichoke so we ordered the white bean and rosemary dip. Fire! Service was a 5. Food was a 5. Wine was amazing- 5 stars. Ambiance? Fire. Cherry trees, stage with live music, beautiful scenery. First place we've given 5 stars.
First time here, Karen was wonderful. Wine 🍷 was delicious, food was amazing. Very cozy and beautiful tasting room.
Beautiful place
I have had the pleasure of visiting many wineries in the Willamette Valley. Croft, and its tasting room and restaurant Stomp, is an hidden jewel in the crown of Pacific Northwest vineyards. Their wine is exceptional, and their people are generous and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit here.
They run a fantastic trivia night! Happens about once a month, and creates a really fun vibe and community with other folks in the area 👍👍
Love this place! 🥸

Stomp is a great, family-friendly, tasting room with great food and atmosphere! I've been several times for music events and had my (small) wedding reception here, and I've always received wonderful service. The suav blanc is great, the pizza is great, and a delightful surprise is that the espresso is actually legit, euro-style, delicious!
Stomp is an absolute gem! The staff is amazing—always friendly and attentive, making each visit feel special. The wine selection is top-notch, perfectly complementing the serene atmosphere. The grounds are stunning, providing the ideal setting to relax and unwind. Watching the beautiful sunsets on the river is a truly magical experience. Stomp offers a perfect blend of great service, excellent wine, and breathtaking views. Highly recommend!
We feel like we are at the Cheers bar every time we vist. The whole staff really gets to know you. Not only that the wine is beautiful and the pizza and other menu items are delish. You will not be disapointed. Also if you are a wine club member they have river floats from Independance to Stomp and they haul your craft to your car that is parked in site, then you finish the afternoon with lunch and wine.
The setting and atmosphere of the Stomp Tasting room is one of a kind! From the beautiful, unique wood table tops, the view of the cherry and apple orchard from the upper balcony with the river flowing beyond the trees, is just the start. John and Amber make the atmosphere pop with the decor, amazing family owned wine selection, and tasty, mouth watering savouries to enjoy.
I especially enjoyed the flight of wine and the delicious homemade pizza. Amber will surprise you with some tasty dessert to give that pop of sweet at the end of your appetizers or savory bites!
What a fun and unique place to hang with friends and enjoy some wine and food.
Oh, and be sure you give notice to the in house watch guard- dog, Nali! She's the sweetest and loves to meet you and have you around.
Can't wait to visit again from Alabama!
If you're a local, make it your weekend habit.
This place is incredibly beautiful and the vibes are always on point at Stomp. John, Amber, and the rest of the crew are kind and super awesome. Lots is done here to support local, from food to music and even brews. It's always a treat when I'm able to make it in. Glad to be a member!
