Excellent service, we tried their French toast and a smoothie, both were delicious. And the portions are big. Can't wait to go back and try some of their other dishes.

Sassy Onion Cafe was buzzing with energy during our visit this morning as we.passed through Salem, OR. This is a go-to breakfast spot. Be prepared for a short wait, especially during a holiday weekend. The atmosphere and friendly staff help the time pass quickly.

The menu is packed with tempting options. One of the specials a Brazilian steak and mushroom omelette offers a savory twist. One half of rhe omlete didnt have steak, but the ither half the steak was pmentiful. As for the biscuits and gravy, the biscuits themselves were a bit unusual, with a texture more like cornbread than the traditional fluffy biscuit. The gravy was just okay—not bad, but not a standout compared to other menu items. If you have a sweet tooth, the cinnamon roll is a might be with a try. It wasnt the best weve ever had, as it did not have traditional cream cheese toppin, dough like a.light fluffy bread, nice that it did jot have too mich sugar and a nice flavor in the cinamon. The oatmeal is a solid choice for something lighter. Coffee lovers will appreciate the white chocolate latte, which is both rich and smooth. Don’t overlook the 1-1-1 combo: one fluffy pancake, an egg cooked your way, and a sausage or bacon—simple, classic, and satisfying.

Generous portions, great coffee, and a welcoming vibe make Sassy Onion Cafe a geeat chouce for breakfast in Salem.

We love coming here. Bryce takes such good care of us! It's nice to eat somewhere I don't have to worry about being gluten free. The food is fresh and hot and so so yummy!

Food was good. Service was a little slow. The atmosphere was calm and quiet while busy.

Sassy is our go-to Saturday spot! I usually get the sweet potato hash with scrambled eggs (they come poached, but I don't like runny yoke) and my husband will get a variety of things. We've never had a bad meal here.

I stopped at the Sassy Onion while traveling through the area. I ordered to-go. I am gluten-free so it is hard to find really yummy stuff to eat on the road. But this place did not disappoint. The onion rings were hands down the best I ever had & the banana bread French toast is a brilliant idea too! Very yummy. Thank you cooks! & the girl who took my order & brought my food out was really kind too! Thanks!
