My wife & I decided to try a new to us spot downtown for a Friday night dinner. First off, I'll say the service was great. Servers were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is also pretty good, though I think the chairs are a bit too wide for the tables & the tables are too close together. As for food & drink: I was eyeballing a couple of the cocktails but decided on the margarita. That was a mistake. Worst margarita I've ever had. It was straight up sour and a bit bitter. That was the extent of the flavor. Just bad. Probably should've sent it back, but I really hate being that guy. My wife got the smash burger, which it seems like everyone does these days, so you really need to be on point. This one was not impressive. The patty itself was flavorless and seemingly not seasoned much, if at all. The wagyu sliders were better, but the cook on all three was slightly different, with the last of the three I ate being fairly well done & dry. I don't know what the type of fries they serve are called, but they're basically mashed potato sticks. They had smoked paprika on them, which helped, but neither of us finished our serving. One other annoyance... One of the bathrooms was out of paper towels. It's not ideal to have to try to dry your hands with a toilet seat liner or on your pants before you eat. Overall, I can't recommend Wolfhounds. I'm glad most of the other reviews seemed to have a better experience than we did. I want to support local and see them succeed, but I doubt we'll return based on our experience.

This is my favorite place in downtown. The whole team there is excellent and the food is unbeatable especially for the price. They are passionate about what they do and I feel they are underpressed for the quality and experience.

Food was really good! Burgers where Big for the Price, different options for sides and Vegan options if needed!
And if you want to host a big group of people they have a banquet area that can seat up to 20 People! There's no charge to rent the area only you must spend a total of $400 minimum.

Eat out and support Salem! Bomb food. At least the burgers. That’s all we had. Sliders on pretzel buns and the Shepard burger. Cooked to perfection. Service was quick and polite. Clean plates all around! Would eat again and again and again my friends!

Came here for date night!! One of the best steaks I’ve had in Salem for awhile now. Hats off to the chef he was super friendly and sweet!! The waitress and staff were excellent and even had live music playing !! Total vibe would come back here again and recommend

Wolfhounds has got it figured out. Our party of two had a couple sharable plates and split a burger, and also had some cocktails. The service was welcoming and timely, and the food was well above expectations. The meatballs, in particular, were inventive in a way that really works - highly recommend trying them. We will absolutely be back.
I don’t normally write reviews (why I don’t have any photos) but if you’re in the mood for a burger, this is the place. My husband has been hunting for a good burger spot in Salem for a while and I think we finally found it. Our waiter was very attentive, both he and the chef checked on us multiple times and even asked us for input on the presentation of one of their dishes. The fries were fabulous (delicious seasoning and crisp) and the burger my husband got was huge and perfectly cooked and flavored. And we are picky when it comes to burgers. Overall great experience and food. Oh and the chairs are comfy!

Wolfhounds Bar & Grill is a must try! The restaurant is very presentable and clean. The service is amazing and the food is even better!! They also offer outdoor seating! For an appitizer we had Pretzels N' Beer Cheese. For main corse we shared the Wagyu Sliders and the Wolfhounds Tacos! If your in the Salem area this is a must try!
