My parents live in Waldport, and took us to there favorite restaurant, the Luna Sea Fish House in Seal Rock. We absolutely loved the food, service and atmosphere. Thank you for the great experience.
This is a restaurant that knows what it wants and excels in making it happen. Firstly the nautical theme is strong and confident but not cheesy or overdone. The first thing your greeted to pulling up is a hand painted fisherman who I'm told is inspired by the owner standing proudly with the freshly caught fish. Less than half a mile from the oregon coast, everything is as fresh as can be. It shows! I got the classic fish and chips with halibut, and it was easily the best...
We came here because I am gluten free and read online that they can prepare the fish and chips grilled. I ordered the grilled cod and chips. Although the fish was cooked nicely and was good, the portions were tiny…like I need to eat a sandwich after coming here tiny. The fries were cooked good and were thick steak fries. The prices were expensive for the small portion in my opinion. The restaurant was hard to find too because the signage out front wasn’t very clear.
