Great place but they are closing this month for a 6 month upgrade of the boat launch. I think they will reopen around April 15th. UPDATE it's still open! I talked to a state employee a few weeks ago and she said that they won't shut it down for the remodel until 10of 2020 due to some environmental permit issue.
The boat launch only does one boat at a time, but will be closed September 1st for the construction of a new boat ramp that will accommodate 4 boats at a time, walking distance to several good restaurants

Lots of parking and right next to water. Can watch the people fishing and crabbing off the pier. Not really a good place for young children as very little grass.Has sandbars that you can see seals resting on and a variety of waterfowl to watch. Nice place to just relax and people watch.
