I do love this place, but the owners should be aware that the walnuts that they're using in the fudge are stale and rancid. If you are going to buy nuts in bulk and store for any period of time, they must be preserved in the freezer.
I cannot recommend a better candy shop- especially for fudge- in Seaside. I recently went to Portland fudge company and they charged me $25 for two chunks of fudge and two Mario berry jelly sticks. Schwietert's is the trusted name for great quality fudge and be sure to pick up some penuche with black almonds while you're there- a good sized chunk is only 5.50.
