Soup in Seaside

“HELLO SERENDIPITY!!! We where driving to Cannon Beach for the day early in the morning. My husband needed coffee and just by chance we stepped into a place that would become our favorite diner in the seaside area. The host greeted us and happily made our coffee to go. Later, in the evening we stopped for a quiet dinner. The same host helped and welcomed us to our table. She turned out to be our waitress, the bar tender and the owner of the property (only on slow seasons). For dinner we tried two of her traditional dishes. Transylvania Cabbage Roll - Her mother's recipe but improved (her Dad's words) not mine and he is correct. It was flavorful!!! WOW so good.
Hungarian Goulash - Her husband's recipe. Delicious and softly prepared it melted in the mouth. Both dishes where full of flavor the presentation was clean and neat. Vacationers you must add the Elderberry diner to you list of places with good food and a good story to take home with you. Thank you Mihaela, my new Oregon friend.“
