Mac's Diner is the spot to go in Shady Cove for sure! The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is awesome! It's a 50's themed diner with all sorts of cool memorabilia. They have booths that look out over the river for a beautiful dining setting. LeAnn and the rest of the staff are super friendly and eager to please. After a day on the river this is The place to unwind!

Really awesome place, so much history and old car memorabilia. The place looked to have outdoor seating but was not available at the time. Really nice view of the river as well. The food was really great as well. They also have a bar area with additional seating.Parking: There's plenty of parking for everyone.

The food is wonderful and the view of the rogue river is a nice touch. Lots of 50s and 60s memorabilia to look at. Fair prices and casual dining.Update! Under new management/ owners and there have been many complaints about the service and food. Hopefully, they can get situated and get back to being a great restaurant in the small town of Shady Cove Oregon.

Sam was my server and was very nice. I had the 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy with hash-browns. It was definitely enough to fill up this guys stomach. The biscuits were hot and fresh and the gravy was spot on. The view of course of the Rogue River is a huge plus! I definitely recommend stopping here to get some great comfort food and take in the beautiful river views! Thank you for the great service Sam!

things have went downhill lost some of my favorite waitresses, was there for Thanksgiving with my family, been a monthly customer but nobody was on customer service seemed like they were not knowing what to do, like clean tables gor the people waiting in lobby, foo on buffet was ok but had to ask for our dessert and it was frozen in. spend a good penny for subpar. the old waitresses were the best cause they weren't blonde that don't know nothing, don't care if blonde but bad waitresses

Just had Thanksgiving dinner at Mac’s Diner. Met the new owner, Heather, and all the servers including Marie who took great care of us. What an absolutely fabulous meal with warm and friendly care and service. Heather informed us it’s been hectic getting operations straightened out, and finally running smoothly, but it looked well oiled to us! Nice job!

Do not eat here. The food is so bad you cant look at it. Im talking coleslaw that had turned brown if not black was served to our table. Fry's that are so bad you take them away from your toddler. Sandwiches smaller than your fist, 23 dollars and cold. I know yall are in the middle of no where but your dishes are all over 20 dollars and the quality is no where to be seen. This kitchen needs major help. It was so embarrassing for the server i feel for her. We didnt say anything paid the bill and left. When the entire table has all their food still in front of them. Says absolutely not to boxes to go. idk im writing this three days later and still grossed out. Either address your kitchen or shut it down dont take income from the surrounding places that do the work.

The bar which they serve food and drinks in was open. There was no sign saying anything other than that. Waited 20 min. Went into the restaurant asked for help. I was told briskly most of staff was off with the flu but that a server should be in there she would find and send them. 15 min later. No one. Went stood in line again. She didn't even acknowledge me as she was passing by making eye contact. I followed her into the bar at which time the same woman who was rude both times repeated the sick part then changed her previous statement to...There is no service in the bar. We only left it open so people could gable.My husband and I who had waited patiently. Had done their job checking in with them. Did what we were told and waited longer only to be rudely talked to and missinformed/lied to by the waitress (older, thin, blondish, longer hair, on the thin shorter side). Plus the last 2 times before this when we went the food was cold once and different than usual the second time.I understand being short staffed but if you are in service you should be good at serving. If you are the lead preston there write on your board that for service go to the restraunt like they used to. And you should aim to diffuse a situation not make it worse.
