21932 OR-62, Shady CoveThis little motel on the main road through Shady Cove is easy to miss. There are only about 15-16 units, and it looks like something right out of the 1950's. But it is a little gem. We knew we would be checking in late, and we were assured that the office was open until 10:30 PM. We arrived at 9:45, and the night clerk was very friendly. The room was very simply decorated and sparkling clean. The bathroom was spotless. It was a hot day, so we were glad to be able to put our cold food in the little refrigerator, which was topped with a microwave oven and a coffee maker with all the fixings. The A/C was the right size for the room and worked very well, and in the early hours of the morning we could open the windows for fresh air. It was VERY quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Only the pillows were a little flat, could have used an extra one...but no matter, we slept well any way. We will stay there again should the occasion arise.

22111 OR-62, Shady CoveOur Roto Rooter guy (originally from West Texas) recommended Hoebels for Texas Bar B Que. It is a short pleasant drive from Medford on the way to Crater Lake National Park. Unassuming, to the point of "is this really the place?" It is a delight. Three of us had different offerings from their special custom made sausage, to brisket to smoked Turkey . Everything was done just right. The sauce was not overdone, the smoke light and flavorful and meat falling off the ribs. We walked away knowing we would be back....if you are not craving g Texas style bar b que , you will after visiting Goebels

62 Burgers And Brew
21171 OR-62, Shady CoveNot only does this place have amazing food, the people here are incredible. They helped us out in a really crazy situation that sprung on all of us. Good hearted, kind souls that deserve more than 5 stars. Back to the food, best onion rings, the onion actually stays in the “ring” haha, the burgers are delicious and not plain or boring. They don’t skimp on anything. The prices are more than reasonable especially in todays world. I can’t rave enough about this place, the experience, and the wonderful staff. Thank you all so much ❤️ I wish I would have taken more pictures of the food but the circumstances distracted me….. just know the food is as beautiful as it sounds!!

21873 OR-62, Shady CoveThis is a wonderful little place. It's part of a 3 store set up and it's very cool. They have good food, sporting goods/rafts, and a nice little chatchkey type section. They make a variety of sandwiches, deserts, Expresso, drinks, etc. The staff is always friendly and helpful. But some times you have to wait a bit because many go there. It's rustic and family owned. I really love going there. Took my great grandson in there last week to get line put on his fishing reel, took about ten dollars and ten minutes and we have enough line to fill it again. I liked it??

21222 OR-62, Shady CoveThis coffee spot is the BEST!! The drinks are all amazing, and the women who work here are phenomenal!!! Their energy is just as uplifting as my drink! Every time I go there in the morning/early afternoon, the girls are so friendly and have the best recommendations. The young woman with the glasses and short curly hair is my favorite. She always gives me ideas for drinks to try, and has never led me in a bad direction. I HIGHLY recommend everyone stops here for their morning caffeine. You won't regret it!

Which wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't so expensive ?The place is, aesthetically, amazing. And the staff are perfect.I'm just one of the handful of pasty persons who like spices haha ?Kid-friendliness: They are absolutely kid friendly. I have twin 3 year olds and the staff was great with them.

22161 OR-62, Shady CoveYummy ice cream, reasonable prices, and classic summer staples like burgers. The selfies on the wall were a little much - the young girls trying to be 'sexy' doesn't really fulfill the family owned vibe they are trying to accomplish. Overall, the toffee nut crunch ice cream is worth the wait in line :)
