We ate here twice. Fresh seafood fried right! I had fried calamari and chips both times and the calamari was great. Plenty of tentacles too. Husband got fried fish and chips. He said it was perfect. Both times. Friendly staff who know what they are doing. We got some coleslaw one of the times and it was tasty. Would go back here over and over.

I have eaten here every time we are in Newport. The food this last time left me somewhat disappointed. The oil the food was cooked in was in need of a change. The pieces of halibut I got were good but the shrimp I felt were subpar and the only cocktail sauce they have includes horseradish. Even the cook was warning people it was spicy. The service was faster than usual but I think the rain helped keep people away. Places to sit are always a premium, but when the weather is nice they have the outdoor tables available. I will return to eat there again but I am on the look out for another place in the future as well.

Exceeded my quality expectations. Superb place to grab fish and chips when I want to spend less than a meal at Local Ocean. Will absolutely make this a regular stop when I come to the coast. (One thing: Wish they had lemon wedges more easily available.)

We've been here before and enjoyed the halibut and chips and prawns and chips but not this time. The fish tasted like it was cooked in stale grease and we didn't even enjoy it. You pay too much to waste your money like that! The seafood cocktail sauce will clean out your sinuses. Most places don't have good cocktail sauce because you can't even taste the horseradish and here you can't taste anything but! Sauce matters to people!!
