Quite possibly my worst experience ever in their Emergency Department. Gaslit by a nurse after arriving in an ambulance, waited over 5 hours to see a doctor (it's 12:30 and we are still sitting here), since we have no place to eat or get something to drink, I ask for vending machines? They are across the hospital by the cafeteria...ok, but since it's so late at night once I walked through the doors, I was locked out of the ED. My daughter who has a well documented case of endometriosis is seeking treatment in the ER for acute abdominal pain. She was just told by Dr Adam Sykes that “…pain is part of the human experience. I think you just slept bad.” This is her 2nd ER visit in a week while she waits to be seen by her doctor. This is fundamentally unacceptable and problematic. There is no patient advocate on staff in the evenings to help.
We will be filing a formal complaint.
