The Washburne Café Reviews
Great place to meet clients and friends! I really enjoy their strong coffee drinks, savory sandwiches made to order, and delicious sweet treats! Very cool atmosphere.
Washburne has improved their service flow and perfected their baked good items. I recommend their homemade almond/cashew milk in a latte paired with a homemade pop tart. Get there before 10 am to get the pop tart-they go fast!

The Washburne Café is a popular spot, offering a cozy atmosphere and excellent food options like donuts and a delicious chicken sandwich. It provides free refills on drip coffee and has various seating choices, including outdoor areas. Some customers have mentioned ventilation issues, but overall, the staff, food, and experience receive high praise, making it a highly recommended place to visit.
The café is known for its well-made espressos and the "Washburne Breakfast Sandwich" with roasted pork belly, which is a must-try. This sandwich features thick slabs of pork belly with caramelized edges, a runny over-medium egg, sharp Tillamook cheddar, and Sriracha mayo, all in a buttery brioche bun. The Smokey Blue Sandwich deserves attention too, with Rogue Creamery smoky blue cheese, honey mustard aioli, Mama Lil's peppers, and bacon, topped with a perfectly runny egg, creating bold and layered flavors.
After a recent renovation, the café now has plenty of seating, with cozy couches, high stools, or low tables that create a chic and bohemian vibe. The café itself is located in a bright, historic downtown Springfield building, showcasing tall windows and exposed brick for an easy charm. The employees are described as genuine and kind, contributing to the overall enjoyable experience. Though the service can occasionally lack eye contact, the polite staff engage well once approached. The Washburne Café continues to be a place where customers can indulge in outstanding food and a relaxed atmosphere.
