The Owl's Nest at Sunriver is a charming place to visit, offering a welcoming atmosphere even during a brutal winter storm. The restaurant features delicious vegetarian options and is known for its fabulous server who is articulate, intelligent, kind, and uplifting. The cocktail waitress, known for her wonderful personality, adds to the overall enjoyment of the evening. However, recent experiences include waiting an hour for food on Memorial Day evening due to a new system in the kitchen, which was disappointing especially since the restaurant was not busy. The food was just OK, with children’s pasta served in a small bowl without any sides, making it quite boring. Some dishes like the Rueben and Fried chicken Sandos, sent to rooms after a long day of traveling, were dry and disappointing, with cold fries and overpricing at $25 each. Additionally, the wings, priced at $3.50 each, were considered not so great and over-priced compared to better options available nearby. Despite these issues, the friendly staff and welcoming environment remain notable features of the Owl's Nest.
