Awesome rock shop plus ice cream shop (and also a shop for other fantastic goodies for hiking, rock climbing and miscellaneous souvenirs). This store sells Oregon thunder eggs (we got one!). They are similar to geodes but formed in rhyolitic volcanic ash layers. The interior of a thunder egg is fascinating since there's no one alike. This is a beautiful little piece of Smith Rock history. It’s been open for decades, but recently resurrected by a wonderful husband and wife team. The BEST and reasonably priced ice cream. Don’t forget to support small business and buy a few one of a kind t-shirts! All my visitors got them. ❤️
