My autistic friends placed an order three times with them and showed up 30minutes before closing and they told her they were already cleaning the grills. They proceeded to throw some plain burgers in their bag and refused to give her drinks she paid for. I do not recommend this location if you have a disability or you are a minority because this to me is discrimination!
Best burgers in The Gorge. Homemade, large portions and no more expensive than McDonalds.
The hamburger was full of gristle and dripping with grease.

Big Jim's Drive In Restaurant is a classic burger joint, known for its delicious shakes and juicy burgers. The menu offers a wide variety, including seafood, chicken sandwiches, and hotdogs. The portions are generous, with abundant fries and large shakes. The staff is friendly and patient, making it a great spot for families. It's a must-stop for many, with some even craving their marionberry shake days later.
The burgers are juicy and flavorful, made to order with fresh ingredients that hit the spot every time. One of the standout features is the ice cream menu, with a great variety of options that are perfect for topping off your meal or just stopping by for a sweet treat. It's the kind of place where families gather, friends meet up, and everyone leaves full and happy. A true gem in the local food scene.
The burgers are handmade and larger than most fast food burgers, with a wide selection of beef, chicken, and fish burgers. Shakes are made from ice cream, and they also offer hard ice cream (12 flavors) along with soft serve in regular, sugar, and waffle cones. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the old malt shops, with 50s-early 70s music playing. The service is good, and they move people through quickly, even during peak meal times.
Recently, visitors have noted friendly and helpful employees, with pleasant indoor and outdoor seating options. The restaurant offers more than just burgers, with lots of choices on the menu, making it a nice change from typical fast food and worth the drive. Many customers make it a point to stop by on their way home, often for milkshakes or the T-Rex Burger, as their food and drinks never disappoint.
However, some have been underwhelmed, mentioning that if you don’t specify toppings like onions or pickles, the burger can be quite plain and lacking flavor. Outside seating can also be less ideal due to the nearby mechanic's smell. Nevertheless, the fries are delicious, and the extensive selection of shakes and ice cream remains a popular reason to visit.
