LoMein noodles looked like top ramen noodles an had a odd taste like they wasn't done. I had the house special Lomein an not much meat for the price I payed for my plate. I know food cost is high, but come on folk.....

Large portions, good food, friendly staff. I also have to mention, there were 6 of us, with split bills that confused even us (lol), but the staff handled the split with absolute effortlessness! I would definitely recommend! Sik

They have really good food and huge portions. The service is great. I can’t express that enough. The owner is awesome and the staff are very friendly. If you don’t know what you want but can kind of give them an idea of the things you like, anyone of them can suggest a dish and it’s always been really good.

Im so aggravated, we've lived here in the dalles for a few years. We tried a few Chinese restaurants and were disappointed each time. So we gave up. Then i saw a review for Hot Point and the food looked great. We stopped in today and ordered egg drop soup, pot stickers, broccoli and beef, and orange chicken. It was all amazing, and the wait staff were awesome and super friendly. The reason im agravated is not trying this place sooner. And next time we have family in town you can bet we'll be bringing them in. New favorite place for sure.

My husband and I were driving back from the coast of Washington after meeting our brand new grandson, and I was starting to get thirsty about this time of the drive and actually just pulled in to get a soda at a gas station. But kind of got turned around and thank goodness because my husband looked over and saw Hotpoint Chinese restaurant. So we went in were amazingly greeted with a wonderful attitude, the food was fantastic, and it's a very clean restaurant. Super respectful people, and never had an empty glass, and after you eat the fried foods, you don't feel like you ate fried foods. No greasiness, no oiliness and the fried rice, it was wonderful. Wonderful! I highly suggest you go there and try this out. We had the sampler appetizer and the fried rice and I wish I would have ordered way more than that!

Food was excellent, price was perfect! Dated skippers like interior was kind of dingy. This place is worth the stop for sure. Carefull when you ask for spicy, they can make it happen!!!

It is a strip mall Chinese restaurant, the menu is pretty standard. The food was average. The ambiance was drab and dated. The fish tank at the entrance is pretty sad.The bathrooms were clean, but worn.Parking was okay for cars. The staff let a customer know that their truck had been backed into in the parking lot and seemed concerned for the customer. The food and menu is pretty average for this style of restaurant. The spring roll was vegetable, not to greasy. The egg drop soup was really yellow and had peas, carrots, and corn, a few dumplings would have been a passable chicken soup. The fried rice with a little pork was okay, I didn't eat most of it and used it to make fried rice for breakfast. The Lo Mein had some beef in it. It was a bit dry for the tiny pieces and lacked a flavor other than wok.The sweet and sour pork was mostly breading and over cooked, as per usual. The restaurant met my expectations and reminded me why I don't eat out.Vegetarian options: They had tofu and vegetable dishes.Parking: This is a strip mall that shares a parking lot with a T mobile. Not good for Rvs or trailers.

I would actually give them a five-star in food for myself but my husband likes his food a little extra spicy and he says that they don't know what spicy really is. Otherwise the food is yummy.

Surprisingly good! The outside is so nondescript that we had never considered going in but I'm glad we did! It was quite tasty, large quantities & reasonably priced. The service was very prompt and friendly as well!
