The family that owns & runs this cool food cart couldn't be nicer. We stopped in on a whim for some BBQ, but were pleasantly surprised to find a Veteran's Day Parade about to start right in front of their spot. They were the only cart open and I believe we were their first customers of the day. We had the brisket chili with cornbread, a cowboy parfait, and some mimosas. The parade was happening, the proprietors were having a good time, and we felt like family watching everything with them. They were chatty and funny and an all around great family. The food is really great but the service is what sets this place apart. We can't wait to get back there and try something else! Thank you for an amazing experience!

So yummy! Family visiting from OOT so we all went to Smoke Wring and tried many of the delicious dishes on the menu. Cowboy Parfait was excellent, meat tender and flavors bursting in your mouth. The cowboy chef salad was refreshing and very filling-enough for two person easily. Ribs were fall off the bone tender with great smoke flavor dipped in the spicy honey BBQ sauce became lip smackin' good, definitely well worth the drive from Hood River and will be returning again and again. Prices are very reasonable and won't break the bank for those on fixed income or large family. The outside seating was very nice and clean with large trash and recycle containers centrally located. Also can play cornhole and horseshoes while you wait. Overall a delightful outing that was enjoyed by all.

In warm weather they have live music. In cold weather they have fire pits. Year round good eats and fun! Great little gem in downtown The Dalles. They actively participate in first Friday events and other community events. Don't miss this place!

So glad we stopped here. Food was great. I had the cowboy salad, he had the 2 meat platter. I was pleasantly surprised that it was nice and smokey without being overly salted. Also, nice to sit by the fire on a chilly night.
Maybe I got them on a bad day but this was not good BBQ. Pulled pork had no smoke ring, was tough, lacked a bark, and was under seasoned the Mac and cheese wasn’t creamy and the attempt at making it smokey just tasted bitter, and the cornbread muffin was grainy and dense

I stopped here the other day, thought I'd grab a quick bite, and was so impressed, I decided to have them cater my small wedding. I ordered enough for everyone to have sides, and chicken and tritip. It was a hit! Everyone loved it, the potato salad and smoked beans were gone in a flash, and the meat was so smoky, and tender, some even went back for 3rds, and we still had leftovers to take home. Thanks for hooking up my wedding Smoke Wring! It was perfect!
