I went for lunch and upon entering, I made contact with the worker behind the register. She did not acknowledge me. When she was done ringing up the customer, she walked away - vanished. There were other employees, here and there, everyone saw us standing there waiting to be seated, but nobody came. Finally, after attempting to seat ourselves, someone came over and seated us.There wasn't a lot of variety to choose from and although I could've ordered something, I barely...
So cute and fun! My 8 year old had never been to a Sushi Train before, and had so much fun picking different plates. I addition to all the Sushi rolls there was a bunch of different fruits to choose from, so he ate his fruits, rice and veggies :)They even came to the table with a slice of Oreo Cheesecake and sang. It was a total surprise and he loved it.
The prices for the plated portions have gone up (pics on Google shows 1.60 per plate, meanwhile it was 2.50 per plate when we went), and the portions are small for that price.For sushi/nihonshoku buffs, the rice is not packed and handled by the chefs but by a machine that poops it out, which means the nigiri isn't terribly well-made. The tamago, udon, and miso all have good flavor though :) Perhaps not soaking the tempura in the udon quite so much, the shrimp was falling...
