Nice place with sandwiches, burgers and sweet treats. Food was good. The cook was working by himself and did a great job keeping up with orders. We ordered the spicy pork, BLT and dirty fries.

Who doesn’t love a good Sando! Located in Bridgeport Village, this is the spot for a truly unique Japanese style sandwich. The best way to describe it is - It’s simple comfort food packed with a lot of flavor! So if you’re ever wanting to try something a bit outside of your comfort zone., give this place a try! I like this place. I tried the pork katsu but I think I’ll go chicken next time. I liked the fries too— crispy and perfect. And I want to try the donuts! This location is so convenient. Don’t get the curry sauce unless you know you like it.

Sandwiches are overpriced. Katsu(fried) pork and chicken patties are dry and bland. The only taste comes from the very-ordinary-tasting BBQ sauce. You can definitely get a better chicken sandwich at KFC. and don't have to pay $14!

Service is another point of disappointment - we waited 20 minutes to get 2 sandwiches and there were only about 5 customers there. No smiles either...

Brought us the wrong order, when I said something I had to debate it with the waitress because she didn't believe me.
She then brought out the correct amount of sandwiches but they were pork instead of chicken like we ordered.
When I said something about the meat she did end up bringing the chicken sandwiches to us. But I had watched her bring those exact chicken sandwiches to the wrong table and leave them there twice, both times the people at other tables had to let her know after she had walked away.
So by the time the food got to us it was cold and it had been like 20 mins since we were served the wrong order the first time.
It honestly was gross that the food had been to multiple other tables before us but I was sick of asking so I just gave up.

I had been here a long time ago and it was okay but honestly this whole thing was kinda ridiculous, we had to approach her so many times. The food is okay but it was a severely disappointing experience that tainted the whole thing. Especially for the price.

Had a fantastic first visit to Tanaka today and it was soooooo good!! Had breakfast for dinner with a sausage breakfast sando and a side of dirty fries (Smoked Pulled Pork, Curry Sauce, American Cheese, Fried Shishito, Cilantro, and Togarashi)— can’t wait to come back and try everything else!

Went to Bridgeport Village to watch a movie and try out Tanaka. The young, blonde female worker was very nice to us despite it being their last hour before closing. The restaurant was clean and quite aesthetically pleasing. My friend and I both ordered the spicy sandwich combo and genuinely enjoyed it. I thought the bread was nice and perfectly crispy, and the spicy mayo added good flavor without being overly spicy. My only complaint was the Karashi mayo. As I was finishing up the first half of my sandwich, I found the vinegary taste lingering and clinging to the back of my throat. It wasn't anything bad—I still genuinely enjoyed my sandwich—but I did make that observation. The fries were a 10/10 for me: perfectly crisp, not oily, and with the Tonkatsu sauce—phewf, that did it for me. So good. I think this place is definitely something to check out if you're craving/wanting to try a Japanese sandwich or if you find yourself debating what to eat at the mall!
