Izzy was so incredibly nice and made my first day in portland special! And of course, the ice cream is delicious :)
I wasn’t sure how the line worked! But figured it out! The ice cream was great and service was very pleasant. The menu and ordering process was a bit confusing but overall good experience.
Really delicious, high quality ice cream! The fast, yet friendly, staff very much impressed me. I had two of their vegan ice creams flavors, which we're fabulous! I really appreciated all the different flavors to choose from too. This is the first time I have ever visited any Salt and Straw, but it definitely won't be my last!

Salt & Straw’s downtown Portland location is new and clean. It was not busy on a late Tuesday night, but the staff said it would be busy on weekends because it is across from a Regal Theater. Two single scoops cost $6.25 each. Popular flavors include Chocolate Gooey Brownie, Pear & Blue Cheese, and Cinnamon Snickerdoodle. The reviewer chose the Last Chance Scoop, Coconut Cake & Pineapple Jam, which was sweet, smooth, and refreshing. In October, Limited Edition Halloween Series Flavors are available. Service was very friendly, and samples were offered. Samples included the Creepy Crawly Critters flavor with candied insects. There is no seating inside; customers can sit outside by the fire pits. A group from a Cross Country team came in, ate ice cream, and returned for another scoop. The staff appreciated the tip, but the customer forgot to tip.
