May have been the best beef bowl we’ve ever had

FAIRLY GOOD FOODStopped by here after a water polo game to have supper with my daughter.The karaage salad was good, but the chicken is garden variety popcorn chicken. It does not taste like it’s been marinated in soy sake and does not have the proper karaage fry.The agedashi tofu was perfect!

Top-quality Japanese cuisine is slim-to-none on the east side, which makes Japanese Express a welcome addition to the awesome Troutdale Village Food Carts! Can’t wait to go back!

Just got the agedashi and oyakodon, and they were delicious. Tokyo style dishes, and he’s got traditional Japanese food you don’t normally see at other restaurants and hasn’t “Americanized” it. Definitely recommend going here if you like Japanese food or want to try some more authentic stuff!
