The best Chinese food in oregon hands down.
So sad they have closed after 22yrs.
The landlord wanted the building back after all that time.

Be aware this place is take out only. These are the reasons I gave this restaurant 5 stars and it all comes down to the food. Portion size: Excellent & Flavor: Fresh and delicious! Those egg rolls must be made to order they are huge (as big as your hand) crunchy and delicious. The Egg flower soup was such a comfort soup and could've been a meal on it's own. The BBQ pork was tasty (I've had better) but still worth it. The fried rice chef's kiss. I'm pretty sure they charge credit card processing fees which was a bit annoying and the service was fair but it got the job done lol. My friend and went twice in our 3 day trip! No regrets...

I have been eating Chinese Food since I was a little girl....
My mother had friends from the Portland Post Office who were Chinese guests at our home so I am familiar with the food..
And...I worked at a SPA where a Russian group recommended Taste of Village many times...I live in Troutdale...
So finally I gave it a try.
So sorry I tried it as $36.00 later and
the fried shrimp had a batter that was old..not fresh...the fried rice was nothing more than old rice with soy sauce on it with a few crumbles of egg..
..the vegetable chow mein had no taste whatsoever..the vegetables were fresh though!
.the sauce for the shrimp was in packets no sesame seeds.. even the fortune cookies were cheap !
This was take out.
I did ask some of the patrons who were waiting for food what their opinion was..
One man said that the food was OK...that he came because of ALICE...and her husband...He mentioned a Thai place in Sandy that was very good...WISH I HAD GONE THERE!!
I had to bring back the entire order minus 4 shrimp. ..the concensus was unanimous....worst Chinese Food we ever tasted.. the bag was soggy too and made a mess on my clothes...
Alice refunded my money without a sorry.. and ran out after me and tossed a plastic container on my car..that held a small portion of fried rice!
I love all people..
I love the Chinese people..... have reverence for all sentient beings..
Taste of Village...I forgive you..
Some folks must have been unkind to you and maybe you took it out on me because I am not Chinese? Or Because some landlord is kicking you out...out of a place you have been for a long time????...THERE'S a backstory here folks!!!
Thank you for giving me my money back!! WHY did you toss the container on my car?
Love and light..
Vegetarian options: Don't ask

My 2nd time to this establishment. I was severely hungry and my protein levels were down. The bartender forced me to order a drink first, instead of what I needed was FOOD. I'm hypoglycemic. The woman Bartender name was Anna. I brought a friend in for his birthday. There was Zero interpersonal skills, nor hospitable conversation. I understand she was busy. However, I have been working in the service industry for 24 years. There was ZERO, "Hi, I'm busy, I'll be with you ". We were extremely patient as I continued to get more and more sick. I had to ASK after waiting 50 minutes to order food, if I could order food. Another patron walked in and Anna completely did not acknowledge the person for 20 minutws. The patron left . I watched as Anna intentionally ignored just about everyone in the establishment, nor was personal. The rudest and unprofessional, unethical, and lack of interpersonal skills
of an employee. This behavior was awful, negative, disgusting, and unhealthy behavior.
I will NEVER spend another dime at your establishment.
I still graciously tipped Anna but she did not deserve it.
Anna represents your business as extremely rude.

Been coming here for almost 15 years and love this place and the family operating it. Never had anything close to a let down... but I do wish I could still get the sesame beef, it was the very best.
The old lady with the white long hair is just a miserable Person, * the short hair lady is amazing *Try to order an appetizer before your main entree and that alone is to much for her to handle.Retire if your that old and incapable of doing your job properly without being a total you know what
Best Chinese food in town, me and my family love their food, although currently they do not offer dine in.

It's a little strange that you can't go into the main restaurant to eat. You can only pick up to go orders. All dine-in is done in the bar. Our server was also the bartender. She was so busy. The food was delicious, and the music that was playing on the speakers was great.

We decided to try this place because Chinese Happiness closed. There was a huge piece of plastic melted into the middle of my egg foo young. Which was already so salty that it was hard to eat. The chicken lo mein my boyfriend got was “okay” he said, but it’s not worth coming back (or eating plastic) for.
