Wasn't very busy, ordered some pancakes, eggs, and chicken fried steak. Left after an hour of nothing but coffee service. Never got the food. I would recommend Bob's steak and spirits in Nyssa as an alternative. It may be Sunday morning but I got better stuff to do than wait all day for some pancakes.

The food is ok but over priced. I don't really like going here to eat. I would rather cook then eat here. Since this post, I have come to work here and put a fire back in this Cafe. The food is really good with lots of menu items that have great reviews. Our chicken fried steak is amazing and our best seller. Our Reuben has been stated to be one of the best in the country. The omelets are a house specialty and people come from miles around just to have an omelet.

02/13/2024: We went in tonight for a late dinner and were so impressed by the service that was provided by our waitress, Paige, and our cook, Mike. They made us feel so welcome and the Club Sandwich and Bacon Cheeseburger we ordered were phenomenal. I got my Club toasted with garlic butter and it was one of the best clubs I’ve had in my entire life. The bacon cheeseburger was cooked to perfection as well. We didn’t need boxes! Our drinks were kept full and the cook even came out of the kitchen to make sure we were satisfied with the food he made. The waitress socialized with our little guy as well and got him to come out of his shell. We wish we had more restaurants that had the quality of service we received today.

Nice little Cafe in Vale. Very nice to be able to stop here after driving a couple hundred miles on highway 20 where there is virtually nothing. Biscuits are outstanding and so is the pie! Little local local joint where it's common to hear the servers greet customers by their first name. A must try if you're passing through!
I travel every where and if I'm going through Vale Oregon and its meal time I'm stopping at the Starlite Cafe, especially if it's breakfastBest chicken fried steak around !! Friendly people , small town where farmer come in for morning coffee. Good place to eat!!!

I had the prime rib sandwich which tasted good, but much of the meat was so gristle tough it couldn't be chewed. Onion rings were great and the wait staff was cheerful and fast. Any problem may lay with the cook. I will try something else if I go again. I'm game to give then another chance.

Such amazing people the waitress are always checking on you, and if your having a down day they always know how to make you smile, and the food always comes out warm, and the atmosphere is so amazing. I LOVE coming
