Had a great breakfast today at Elmer's. Food was delicious and came out hot, service was fast and friendly... The manager, Denise, came by and checked on everything. These aren't little things anymore, it's been a while since I had this good of an experience at a restaurant. Feeling thankful for the good people here!
Today was very strange. We showed up around 10 am expecting it to be busy. It's a beautiful Saturday morning and people are out and about. We ask for a table and are offered a both immediately. We passed as we are larger people and prefer a table for comfort. So we didn't mind waiting longer for a table. After a short 10 minutes we are seated. As a former employee who worked as a dishwasher here, I can say they never clean their dishwasher. When I worked there, I scraped out years' worth of nasty stuff because one of the prep cooks said the plates stink. Now that I don't work there, I'm positive it's not being cleaned again. One of the dishwashers only puts cups through once when they're supposed to do it at least 2 times. They only deep clean when inspectors are coming.
