In central Yachats. Great atmosphere. Sit in covered patio. Food was great. Service as well. A definite place to go to again and again
MANDATORY 20% GRATUITY CHARGED This place has GREAT food! However, they also have a mandatory 20% gratuity charge. So, no matter how good or horrible your wait staff is they get at least a part of the 20% mandatory tip. They get no additional tip from me.
We do not plan on going back.
Location was perfect! Our room (sky candy) looked over the road towards the beach. I love the quirkyness of the rooms and that they all look different. Very affordable and pet friendly.
You can't beat the location. Fun quirky rooms within walking distance to all the good places in town. Directly across the street from the best fish and chips on the coast. Views from the mermaid room were beautiful. Quiet and lovely, we stay a every time we're on the Oregon coast.
Posting a review for the restaurant. A shop owner in town recommended this restaurant for lunch since we did not want seafood and the restaurant has a very big lunch menu. Don’t judge the restaurant by its very unassuming street facade. The three of us had a wonderful lunch in a heated indoor garden room in the back that was totally charming! We ate and recommend the grilled Caesar salad (I had mine with optional grilled chicken on top); grilled steak salad with a mushroom sauce and Gorgonzola cheese; and clam chowder with smoked salmon and a side salad. All of our lunch entrees were generously sized and delicious. We would happily go back if we lived nearby. Great find!
We parked on the street out front - not sure if there is a lot. Noiseux level was moderate - we could easily hear each other.
We had a lovely lunch here with my brother and his wife. Really nice food and a pretty location. We had a late lunch together with good service and good food. Pretty location. Parking is a bit hard. My sister s d law and I both had the chicken pot pie. Really good
We didn’t stay here, but saw the sign for food take out, and wanted a bit of breakfast for the road. My husband was harassed by who we think locals, on what to add to my boiling coffee, and it was boiling hot. The blueberry crumb cake was stale and he got an egg bite. A silver dollar sized egg bite, shriveled and looked like yesterday’s. Awful, sorry to say, after seeing good reviews.
So where do I start. Food was ok. Not bad not great. A few things I didn't like. Automatic 20% tip on your check. 20% and Yachats food tax. A tip is a for good service. It was not that good, at all.Waited quite a while to get helped when we sat down and took 20 minutes after our plates were cleared to get our check, then she just grabs my card sitting on my wallet without asking. People in the town seem to love this place and the lack of parking shows it. Next time we will go north or south to eat. One and done.
Delicious food for breakfast lunch or dinner with live music most nights in the bar. LOTS OF dietary accommodations. Hotel rooms are vibrantley painted, but are dated and have some quirks such as no coffee maker (pour over option) But can't go wrong with the location.
Ate lunch there. Had grilled Caesar salads w salmon. They were wonderful! Salmon was perfectly cooked. Service was great, as well. The outdoor patio is delightful if weather permits.

We stayed in Sugar and Spice and this place was wonderful. Room was adorable and we could hear the waves crashing. Clean and cute and great coffee bar. In the morning we walked down to Yachats State Recreational area, like 2 min away, and the tide pools were amazing. Also benches across the street to watch the water and a cute whale art installation next door. Ate breakfast at the Inn and they were so nice and the food was AMAZING. Cute sitting areas all over property and a grocery store just across the street.
We came here for dinner, the food was excellent!
Did not stay at the hotel, however the fun, eclectic restaurant was amazing!!! The decor and comfort is similar to that of a McMenamins! Our server was Lewis, he was amazing and made an amazing effort at service, he definitely deserves a raise! The food and atmosphere is unmatched, this is THE BEST restaurant in Yachats!
This was a day trip and we only went to the restaurant.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had such a fun and delicious experience at The Drift Inn Café! The food was outstanding. The fish tacos were fresh and flavorful, loaded with avocado, corn salsa, and just the right touch of creaminess, served with perfectly seasoned rice and hearty black beans. The lobster lasagna was a real standout rich, decadent, and packed with flavor, a dish you don’t often find and one that’s worth coming back for.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere makes this place truly special. The outdoor seating area is vibrant and cozy, decorated with colorful kites overhead, lush plants, and even a koi pond beneath the tables. Inside, the quirky charm continues with umbrellas hanging from the ceiling and seahorse handles on the doors. Everywhere you look, there’s character and creativity that makes dining here memorable.
The staff was warm and attentive, adding to the welcoming, laid-back vibe. If you’re in Yachats, this is a must-visit spot whether for a casual meal, unique ambiance, or just to soak in the eclectic artistry of the space. We’ll definitely be back!
