Altland House Grill & Pub

being our first time and it was a special day I made a 1pm reservation several days ago and asked for two person window seat. I had to change reservation at noon on day of because of running late to 5pm. I called person said no problem changing he was nice and polite I got the confirmation on phone BUT upon arriving hostess said I did NOT Have reservations. Thank goodness they were not crowed and we got the 4 person table in the bay window area Stared off nervous but ended fine!!!!

It was a disappointing evening. Limited menu. BERY limited wine selection. One of our meals came out with a shred of wire (Brillo pad scrap?) in it. No suggestion of comping the meal, or even a free glass of wine. So we essentially ate two separate meals, so the first wouldn't go cold while we waited for the second.

We arrived and had reservations. The restaurant is nicely decorated and had a comfortable and upscale ambiance. Once we were seated we waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. Once we finally got to order we waited quite a while for our food. We had asked for an extra plate and it took and additional 10 minutes to get that.when the waitress would finally show up it was at least 15 minutes till we would see her again. Finally we were ready for coffee and had to ask her for dessert menus. She brought the coffee and the checks without ever asking if we wanted dessert. We finally gave up on dessert because we had to leave. Once again we had to wait for a long period just to have her pick up our checks and return our cards. Food was good, waitress was unprofessional. Disappointing visit.

I went to Altland House for a date night. I had passed by numerous times and finally decided to make plans to stop. The atmosphere was exactly what I hoped for. It was quite cozy. The food was excellent as was the service.

The Roman pizza was very good. Pan cooked snapper was also very good. The pasta and shrimp was just satisfactory. The service was excellent and, the ambiance was great.

Always amazing! Cody was our server. I loved that he remembered us from last time.

This restaurant was poor, definitely worse than average.

To start with, the bread that was brought to the table was some of the worst bread I have ever been served at a restaurant. It was dense, bland, and had no crust whatsoever.

The chicken strips off the kids menu were clearly not prepared and breaded in-house. They were obviously just frozen chicken strips that were heated up. Now, I don't want to put too much importance on a kids menu item, but it was an indicator of poor quality.

The burger was fine, the meat and most of the toppings were decent but the bottom bun was completely soggy and fell to pieces when I tried to pick it up and the lettuce and tomatoes were very lackluster.

The service was very poor. They forgot one of the items that we ordered, but at least we weren't charged for it. And on top of that, there was probably about a 30-minute delay in between the appetizers and main course without any comment or apology from the server.

Overall, the food wasn't horrible, but considering the price, I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

This place is amazing. A surprise gem. Rooms are so cute and amazingly clean. So much character and the service is wonderful and friendly. I would make a day trip just to stay at this hotel.

First went for early dinner didnt relize they dont serve dinner till 330
They did accommodate us and was able to make some of the dishes that were for dinner
First we never got bread for our table
Second we had a 3 y old with us and was never given crayons while another table that had a older child had some
Third I had the sesame sear tuna the tuna was very dry only thing that tasted good was the rice and vegetables
My familys been coming here for the past 4 years and the last 2 they haven't been good at all overall with there food which is very disappointing

This was the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Ate here for lunch and our service was awful. The restaurant had maybe 5 tables sat at most so they were NOT busy. The mocktails we ordered came out HOT even though they had ice in them when I asked the waitress about it she said it’s because they microwave the powdered lemonade. It was awful and tasted so bad. Atleast put it into a new cold glass?!?! My short rib grilled cheese was so disgusting it had no flavor it tasted like nothing but grease. The bread was hard as a rock also. The sweet potato fries were actually good but that’s all I got to eat because our waitress didn’t come back to the table for over 20 minutes after putting our food down. It was such awful service!!! I told her about the food and she then proceeded to not apologize and instead say it’s “normally the best on the menu.” And then charged us full price for everything! We waited another 20 minutes to pay the bill so much so that my grandmother had to get up from the table to go find the girl. It was absolutely awful. Don’t waste your money.

The bartender wasn’t attentive. She left the bar unattended while going to the bathroom ignoring me when I motioned for her that we would like service. I ordered the Smashburger. I was really looking forward to a great meal because I have had the Smashburger on many occasions and it was delicious-very juicy (I had to keep wiping the juice off my hands.). This time the sandwich was VERY dry. I had trouble swallowing it. When I said something to the bartender she said that’s how they are made. I told her that I never had any that dry. I sent my meal back and I didn’t want anything else because my appetite was gone. I ate maybe a 3rd of the sandwich and didn’t touch the fries but was charged for the meal. I actually ordered a soda to help me swallow it. I think ii is really sad that you charge for a meal that I couldn’t eat. I hope you go back to making this sandwich the way they used to be - when you were licking juice off your fingers. And maybe you could get a bartender as attentive as Dalton was.

We let them know it was our anniversary and they had the table set and ready for us when we arrived. The food was excellent, the service very good and the price reasonable.

This was our fourth anniversary meal out of 47! That should tell you how great this place is! Great food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere.
