The Altland House offers a pleasant dining experience with attentive service and tasty food. The bread plate is an excellent starter, served immediately with garlic butter spread, roasted garlic cloves, and an olive oil and balsamic drizzle, topped with Parmesan and olive oil for dipping. The menu features popular items such as the Baked Crab Starter, Veal Parmesan with Spinach, and Roasted Pork Shank, along with other favorites like the Special Blackened Mahi Mahi with cheesy Grits, which some find might be a little overdone, but still enjoyable. The Eggplant Parmesan and baked onion soup are also highly recommended. Visitors often praise the welcoming staff and reasonable prices, making it a place they look forward to visiting again. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, allowing plenty of time for conversations. Many guests have driven long distances just to dine here, and recent reviews highlight the wonderful service and excellent food, making each visit special. Simply the best! Highly recommended!!

Went here for our anniversary dinner tonight, service was good. We started with the pan seared scallops and cheesy grits, awful…scallops smelled so fishy, grits were dried out and lumpy and the roasted corn tasted rubbery. I got the eggplant parm which tasted old or frozen, some bites were hard other bits were just gross. It came with spinach and no pasta. Husband got the crab cake sandwich, he said it tasted like canned crab and bun was too big for the cake. Will not be returning....read full review
